Ask Sigmund Freud to interpret a dream, and he'd tell you that it was about sex. Ask Carl Jung, and he'd tell you it was about the self. Ask John Paul Jackson, and he'll tell you dreams come from God and can have spiritual importance.
"Dreams are one of mankind's greatest mysteries, and they can guide, protect and encourage you," he says.
Dreams are important for well-being. The average adult will have four dreams a night, even if they can't remember them. When a dream is remembered, people often wonder, "What does it mean?" and "Was this important?"
This fall, dreamers and mystery lovers can explore and interpret dreams on a new TV show, Dreams & Mysteries With John Paul Jackson. Jackson is a recognized authority on Christian spirituality and dream interpretation. Every week, Jackson will explore supernatural mysteries and "explain the unexplainable" using stories and demonstrations extracted from biblical texts with real-life spiritual application and often with scientific proofs.
Dreams & Mysteries has a documentary, "Ted Talk" format with single topics, such as justice, angels, evil, power of choice, true spirituality, time and the law of attraction.
"We are dealing with big concepts that impact the very fiber of people's destiny," Jackson says. "We want to help people to understand their dreams and explore spiritual mysteries in a way that is relevant, thought-provoking and meaningful."
Western dream analysis, led by Freud and disciple Jung, reduced the scope of dreams to a physical reaction or an activity of the soul (or psyche). According to Freud and Jung, the psyche exposes the unconscious mind, and dreams do not have spiritual or prophetic importance. All major religions—and Jackson—strongly disagree.
"Dreams that come from the eternal spiritual source can be life-changing, but unfortunately too many Christians try to use a Freudian or Jungian instead [of a] biblical approach to dreams," Jackson says. "It's like trying to unlock a door with the wrong key—it doesn't work."
Jackson has interpreted over 40,000 dreams and has identified dream categories and dream symbols, like colors, animals, activities and numbers.
"What if last night, you had a God dream that gave you an answer to an important question, but you didn't realize it?" Jackson asks.
Dreams & Mysteries With John Paul Jackson can be seen Thursday nights at 10:30 p.m. EST starting this week and Wednesdays at 4 p.m. EST on Daystar.
Understanding the mysteries of life and dreams are universal quests of all religions, cultures, people and movie scripts. The wonder of life fills a child with questions while the mysteries of life drive men to search the unknown. Now dreamers and lovers of mysteries can explore the supernatural with John Paul Jackson on Dreams & Mysteries, premiering on Daystar Network, Thursday October 3 from 9:30-10:00pm (CST).
"Dreams ties the eternal and the temporal together," says John Paul Jackson, creator and host of Dreams & Mysteries. "We wanted to explore spiritual mysteries and dreams in creative ways that are relevant, applicable and memorable," explains Jackson. "This show addresses big concepts that impact the very fiber of people's lives and destiny."
Considered the foremost biblical dream expert, Jackson has interpreted over 50,000 dreams and taught for decades around the globe.
Each episode of Dreams & Mysteries focuses on a single topic such as: Justice, Time, Destiny, Evil, Dreams, Choice, Psychics, True Spirituality, and Law of Attraction. Jackson discusses these topics using demonstrations, stories, biblical facts, spiritual principles and dreams from viewers. Mysteries, supernatural principles and their impact are often revealed through dreams. Every episode will include dream interpretation or reenactment.
Every religion believes that dreams are important ways that we receive guidance, healing and spiritual direction. The average person spends a third of their life sleeping and six years in a dream state. Dreams can be filled with stories and answers constructed with symbolic images of animals, events, people and numbers.
"Dreams remain a mystery until the source and code are discovered," explains Jackson. "Dreams that come from the eternal can help you avoid a problem, make decision, explain a cycle from the past, show you the future or help you find true love."
Jackson has been featured on Daystar programs including Celebration with Marcus and Joni Lamb, Joni and Friends, TBN, 700 Club, God TV and others.
So, why are we captivated by dreams and mysteries? Einstein says it best, "The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. IT is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. Whoever does not know it and can no longer wonder, no longer marvel, is a good as dead, and his eyes are dimmed."
"Man's search for meaning is filled with questions and in our search for truth we hope to discover ourselves and God," says Jackson. "Understanding the spiritual meaning of Dreams and Mysteries helps see more clearly, live with strength, love more deeply and walk in the spirit."
Dreams and Mysteries with John Paul Jackson will premiere Thursday, Oct. 3rd at 9:30-10:00 (CST) on Daystar Network.

End-Time Dreamer John Paul Jackson to Host Supernatural TV Show, CharismaNews Aug. 13, 2013
Dream Interpretation in Ancient Cultures, J. Donald Hughes, University of Denver.

Dream Expert, John Paul Jackson, decodes the meaning of dreams in new Fall show, Dreams and Mysteries. Effective dream interpretation can provide answers, insights, ideas and spiritual guidance.
Dreams and their meaning shaped the government, religion and daily life of ancient cultures. Most ancient cultures believed that dreams were either direct messages or were symbols requiring interpretation of the mysterious code. Dream journals have been found in Mesopotamia and Egypt. Today, the mystery of dreams are explored by psychiatrists and exploited by Hollywood box office hits. To help people decode the meaning of their dreams, dream expert John Paul Jackson is hosting a new show Dreams and Mysteries, premiering this October.
“Dreams speak in a code or symbolic language that uses objects, activities, places and people to instruct us,” explains John Paul Jackson, Dream Expert and Founder of Streams Ministries. “The impact of a dream is only as good as the interpretation. To have a correct interpretation one has to know the dream source and dream code.”
The average person spends at least a third of their life sleeping and six years of that dreaming. There are many types of dreams including the “pizza dream”, sex dreams, nightmares and spiritual transportations. Dreams are ways that people process information, deal with stress, struggles, problem solve and receive guidance from a divine source. Most people believe that dreams, especially reoccurring and dramatic dreams have importance, but the challenge is unlocking the “Dream Code”.
“Understanding a dream is like a spirit puzzle. Regardless of culture, there are universal symbols that communicate specific truths,” says Jackson. For over 40 years, Jackson has interpreted over 50,000 dreams and has taught dream interpretation around the world.
Here are 8 common dreams and their interpretation according to John Paul Jackson:
- Flying – A person has the ability to rise above problems and move in the spiritual realm.
- Teeth falling out – One may be experiencing a loss or inability to understand and/or discern something.
- Taking a test – Being in a classroom taking a test, often means that one is going through a time of testing and being tried for the purpose of promotion.
- Falling – Some part of a person’s life is out of control, or the person is losing control and is growing anxious.
- Snakes – This means a person is being harassed by lies, accusations or tales being told about them.
- Dogs – Dogs usually represent friendship, loyalty and protection; unless the dog is growling which means a friend may be turning against a person.
- Losing wallet or purse – More than financial loss, this dream could mean a person has lost status, identity or purpose.
- Naked in public – This dream is not about wardrobe malfunctions. It indicates a person is (or will be) vulnerable or transparent.
“Dreams are a mystery, and the unraveling of their meaning often comes hidden in an ancient Hebraic code,” Jackson concludes. “Imagine if the dream you had last night, contained the answer that you had been looking for, and you didn't know it? Knowing the meaning of a dream can be life changing.”
This Fall Streams Ministries is launching Dreams and Mysteries with John Paul Jackson which will explore the meaning of dreams and others spiritual mysteries.

The following article was released by Charisma Digital magazine in their July 2013 issue.
John Paul Jackson’s supernatural life has led him to produce a supernatural television show, Dreams and Mysteries, which begins airing in September.
According to John Paul Jackson, an angel appeared to his mother before his birth, telling her not to weep over her miscarriage and that she would soon give birth to a son. She was to name the boy John Paul, the angel said, and he would have an 11th-hour ministry. Even her pregnancy would be a sign of that 11th-hour ministry. Not long after, Jackson’s mother became pregnant with him. He was due to be born May 30, 1950. His mother went to the hospital in labor on that day, but the labor pains stopped, and Jackson wasn’t born until two months later, on July 30 at 11:55 p.m.—“11 months to the day,” he says.
Now, at age 62, Jackson—the founder of Streams Ministries International known for his uncanny record of accurately predicting the global financial crisis and numerous other events in recent years—is fulfilling the calling of his 11th-hour ministry by hosting a television show on the Daystar Television Network entitled Dreams and Mysteries. The show will begin airing in September.
“I feel like the Lord has called me to start bringing the relevance of dreams and visions—what the Bible calls dark speech or riddles and enigmas—back into a relevant place in our church culture,” he says.
For scriptural support, Jackson cites Acts 2, in which Luke—quoting Joel 2—wrote that in the last days, God would pour out His Spirit and people would dream dreams, have visions and prophesy. Jackson also cites Job 33:14-16, noting, “God speaks in many ways that man does not perceive—in a dream, in a vision of the night.” He says the Lord uses dreams to “open the minds of men and seal their instructions, in order to conceal pride from man and to keep his soul from the pit and his life from perishing by the sword.”
Though the Bible says God will speak to people through dreams, visions and prophetic utterances in the end times, Jackson believes the church has largely “ignored everything but the Word.”
“I don’t undersell the Word at all,” he says. “Everything has to conform to Scripture, but that doesn’t mean we ignore dreams, visions and prophecies. In essence, we say we value Scripture, but then we defy what Scripture says—that in the last days, this is what God is going to do.”
Jackson, an author, speaker and frequent guest on shows such as The 700 Club, Sid Roth’s It’s Supernatural and Daystar’s Joni, is best known for making a series of accurate predictions in a 2008 prophetic bulletin entitled “The Coming Perfect Storm” regarding the global economic crisis and other events. Jackson says God has revealed these things to him in dreams and visions of future newspaper “headlines.”
Of Jackson, Roth says, “I believe John Paul Jackson is an end-time prophet and has much to offer.”
