The Tearing of the Veil
“And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.” Matthew 27:50-52
“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh.” Hebrews 10:19-20
THE SOUND OF TEARING
A huge, and all encompassing sound that is coming from far above you and behind you has shaken you. The unusual nature of this sound seems to not only shake you, but to also shake Heaven and Earth. In a strange and holy way the shaking seems to transcend and echo through time as well. It is as if some spiritual something that existed before time had entered time and disrupted the time/ space continuum.
Remarkably, the shear enormity of this tear in time does not last long, but it still shakes you to the core of your being. Though the sound is short lived, you cannot seem to shake the feeling that nothing will ever be the same again. Because your spirit recognizes and responds faster than you body, you already have this eerie feeling that the wall between Heaven and Earth has been demolished. Yet by the sound of it, you know it is far more than that and by the time you get turned around and oriented to what you see the sound has stopped, none-the-less what you behold will take an Eternity understand.
Part of the reason you were so startled is due to the fact that the sound began at the ceiling of the Sanctuary where the Cherubim are woven into the scarlet, blue, purple, and white of this tapestry. No one could reach that high and tear the thick, dense, and heavy Veil that divided the Holy of Holies from the Holy Place, yet you stand there amazed and looking at the veil in two pieces that are now dangling from the Golden rod that suspends them. There is no doubt, from the feather-esc threads stretching out beyond the torn material and now wafting in the non-perceptible breeze, that it has been torn from the top to the bottom. The impossibility of this is heralded by the scribes as they have have written that two teams of horses, tugging against each other, could not have torn this Veil, let alone torn it from the top down, but here it is, torn in such a manner that only the hand of God could have done it.
TORN BACK THROUGH TIME
Though the tearing of the original veil occurred in the Temple during the time of Jesus, it is as if the event wove its way back through time and tore the Veil here in the Sanctuary of the Tabernacle of Moses, where you stand. What happened in one, happened in the other, for the sake of all man-kind. In effect that really did happen, this is why Jesus could descend into Sheol, after His crucifixion and preach the “Good news” to all who had died prior to that day. All humanity was there, under the dark, dictatorship of Satan who Adam and Eve had given control of this Earth to some four thousand years earlier. All humanity would be impacted forever because of this one event, so in effect the torn veil did transcend time and it transcended so much more.
From the moment the Veil was torn, Jesus had access to Sheol, where all who had died were being held in captivity. When He presented Himself to Satan as the “sinless one” or the one who had never submitted to Satan, Jesus was given access to all who were there. There in unimaginable time, Jesus would explain to those who would listen to Him that He was the eternal, sacrificial, provision for all of humanity - including them. They would hear what they had not heard during their life on earth. The good news of who He was would be explained, and they would come to understand that all things written in the Torah pertained to Him, and in so knowing they would be given the chance to accept Him as Messiah, the one spoken of from the beginning of time.
He would go on to explain that all that was written on the tablets of stone referred to Him. He would help them understand that from this point forward, everyone would have the opportunity to have Him written on the tablets of their own heart, tablets of flesh and not of stone. It would be clear to all that He had fulfilled all that was prophesied and written about Him in the Law. It was also clear He would lead them out, for He had proven, in the most clear manner possible, that He was the way, the truth, and the life.
In this short period of time, Jesus would go on to explain that He was the Lamb slain from before the foundation of the world, therefore the Passover feast, in fact all the feasts of Israel were about Him. Even now, if you listen closely, with the ears of your spirit, you can hear His words echo through time, and if you are deeply, spiritually attuned, you can almost feel the relief of those who listened to him. They were about to have their chains broken, and Paradise was waiting. However, for the sake of the testimony of this moment, several would make a stop on the surface of the Earth, in order to tell everyone they met of the great things they had heard from Jesus and to verify that Jesus had indeed risen from the dead and set them free.
There are many interesting facts that you need to know about the purpose of the Veil.
THE VEIL WAS JESUS
“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh.” Hebrews 10:19-20
The writer of Hebrews, probably the Apostle Paul, tells us that there is a direct representation of Jesus being the Veil, and the Veil being torn at the time of His death on the Cross. In the sacrifice of His life, and taking the sin of mankind on His shoulders, Jesus had removed the Veil that separated God from man and at the same time kept mankind from boldly seeking intimacy with God, an intimacy that had been hidden from man for the four thousand years since the “fall.”

Why was the Veil rent from top to bottom? Because, God the Father wanted to display, in an unparalleled, and unquestionable manner, that He is the one who tore the Veil. He was making a clear and decisive statement that He was the one who recognized the blood of His Son covering the sin of mankind and therefore mankind had the opportunity to commune with Him again. In effect, the gate to Eden was opened and mankind could walk intimately with God anytime they wanted. Just as in the Garden you could eat from the Tree of Life and live forever, now if you will eat of His flesh and drink of His blood you will live forever, for in Him dwells the fullness of life.
There is much still more to the tearing of the Veil than one might think.

I have a question that i’ve never really gotten the answer to: How did creation default to Satan when man sined? I know he is the one who lied but I still dont quite understand how it defaulted to him and didn’t default to, lets say, one of the other Angels?
Is it because he was believed over God, and theirfore was put over us as a god so to speak?
I can go lie to someone about who really sold a house to another person but it doesn’t make me the owner of the house if anyone believes me.
There has got to be more to this and that is the part that is really frustrating.

Happy 60th Birthday to you! Your not getting older, your getting “WISER, WISER & MORE WISER”. Now let’s do the math thing, ok so now 60 is half of 120 and so by the time that you hit 120 in the year 2070 if the Lord tarries, you’ll really be 80 because age 120 will actually be the new 80. Something to think about at 60 years young, lol. As long as you are present with us on this side of Glory, I’ll always look forward to your Coffee Talk postings with great anticipation and a whole lot of “AWE” too. Keep them postings coming. May God richly bless you on your birthday with every spiritual blessing under the open heavens.

Hi Shaun. John Paul has a dvd called Recapturing Your Spiritual Authority. Watching that should answer your questions. That being said, I will give it a shot. God gave man authority on the earth. Man named all the animals, including serpent. Whatever they named they had authority over. When Adam and Eve sinned, they submitted to that which they once had authority over (the serpent). Whatever you submit to, you give that thing or person authority over your life. Hope that helps.

So when you have an “open heavens” experience is it anything at all like seeing and hearing a portal open up? Is there some kind of shaking involved when that happens? I was just wondering about it because God will allow me the priviledge of having what I believe will be what you call an “open heavens” experience later on this year. I’m not quite sure what to expect really. So I want to know….but at the same time I still like the element of surprise. That makes it more fun.

When I went to Brownsville in the early 2000’s there was already an ebb of the spirit and I got to overhear some very iritating things from their youth that was “fleshy” and not of the Holy spirit.

The sin of both Adam and Eve was the sin of disobedience to the command and wishes of God our heavenly Father, to not eat the “fruit” of “The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil” for if they eat from this tree according to God, they will fall out of grace and surely die. The death that God was talking about was a corrupt soulish/sin nature, a weakened conscience where soul rules over spirit instead of the spirit ruling over the sin. Adam and Eve both ate of this tree and fell because of disobedience and became accountable to the original plan and purpose of God because they were one flesh made in the image of God. God had no choice but to redeem them from the curse of sin and death and this was why He sent us His only begotten Son our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to free us from the law of sin and death and to bring us back to God’s original plan and purpose for mankind. When talking about the original sin of Adam, many people often but not intentional leave out Eve because Adam id the head and many times it is often understood that Eve participated in the deception. On the other hand some leave Adam out out the picture and leave Eve holding the ball, lol. However, it is very clear in the first couple of chapters in the book of Genesis in the Old Testament that it is a both/and situation because Eve came from the rib of Adam and so they were counted as one in the spirit and after they fell, they were one in the flesh and the Blood of Jesus mitigates the sin of Adam and Eve and brings suffering humanity back to the garden eating from Jesus Christ, the tree of life. Hi Family:
How is everyone holding up in this heat, whoa. I can’t imagine people living in a 125 degree zone. But its happening in Tennessee and parts of the deep south according to the weather channel. At least 9 people have died on the account of the high heat temperatures :(. Planned hurricanes seem to be stopped dead on their tracks for no apparent reason. Parts of the sun are being hurled to the earth stinking up the atmosphere a little but not destroying human life or burning up the planet and giving us a huge celestial show instead :). Also on WGBH reporters are reporting how the oil leak in the gulf region has stopped and miraculously it seems to be drying up and evaporating on its own. Wow, it must be those excessive temperatures, oh yeah and of course the mighty and all powerful hand of God acting on mans behalf. Well anyway truth be told, “HE REALLY, REALLY LOVES US ALL YA’All” VERY MUCH. Here’s a God inspired video to bring home the point. Enjoy, “ALL YA’ALL

Evangelicals have a confession of Faith - “Have you asked the LORD Jesus Christ into your Heart?” and this confession sets Hebews 10:19-20 and Hebrews 9:12 in avery intersting context of the Veil over the human heart….
2 Corinthians 3:16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
In becoming sin, the LORD Jesus Christ became the veil….
I really do not have words to accurately describe how this journey through the tabernacle and now the Dark Night of the Spirit is exploding in the depths of my spirit. Jesus is the Veil..

I heard the tearing of the veil when I was praying as a young man. I was asking for a sign because I was in doubt. I heard a very loud ripping sound in my room. It was the sound beside me like a huge canvas would make if ripped into. I was very shocked and afraid, but it stopped me from doubting. I only recently figured out that it was the veil. I have not been to church in 20 years but the incident stays with me. Its like a mark is placed in me to remember the covenant. Whenever I doubt that memory is there to assure me that there is a god. I am a sinner and I am not very religious. I am a used to do drugs and I am a womanizer, not the best person. Sounds crazy but its true.
