Cloaked in Light
“Bless the LORD, O my soul!
O LORD my God, You are very great:
You are clothed with honor and majesty,
Who cover Yourself with light as with a garment,
Who stretch out the heavens like a curtain.”
Psalms 104:1-2
Perhaps it is the light, perhaps it is the vapor of smoke around you, perhaps it is simply pure adrenalin, or perhaps it is entirely something else you have yet to discover, but you now notice that you feel full of vibrant health here. There are no migraines, there is no cancer, not even the smallest defect in your skin can be seen here. All your cells are functioning at full, created capacity. It is as if the Kingdom of Heaven has come to Earth, and in one great sense it has. In this mysterious Holy of Holies none of the elements of the Fall of Man exist. There is no sin to contaminate your DNA let alone the room. The anti-creation effect of darkness cannot exist in the presence of the Holy Creator.
BEFORE THE FALL
The purpose of this room is not only to reveal the Glory of God to mankind, but also to reveal to mankind what it was like before the Fall. Humans were clothed in light back then. It was not uncomfortable for man to walk with God, God’s light was not blinding. Why? Man, made in the image of God was also cloaked in light. However man, after the Fall, wrote that God dwells in “unapproachable light” (1 Timothy 6:16). Darkness finds it difficult to be in the presence of Light. That is one reason why the demons shrieked at the presence of Jesus. It is painful for darkness to approach pure light. However, man before the Fall, made in the image and likeness of God, was covered with light and as such could walk with God without feeling out of place. Light walked with man who was clothed with light.
CLOTHED IN LIGHT
When sin, disobedience to God’s ways and word, entered Adam and Eve - the light left. Even today, light cannot dwell with darkness and darkness cannot dwell with light. When the covering of light lifted from Adam and Eve, they both saw each other’s outward, physical appearance for the first time and they “knew they were naked.” Their clothing of light was gone. Without the distinctive atmosphere of God’s presence, Adam and Eve were left cold, naked, and afraid. The protective covering of God’s glory was no longer there. Vulnerability to to a power which sought to over throw God confronted them. But, in this Holy Room, God is seeking to restore the presence of His light to you, to make you a light of the world.
LIGHT IS EVERYWHERE
The thickness of the air in this Final Room of Mystery seems to press against your face, it is as if the Light, the air, and the vapor of smoke all carried a weightiness. Strangely, it seems so light, and effortless as it enters your lungs. In the previous room, the Holy Place, light reflected from the two side walls, but in this room the light reflects from three golden walls, the two side walls and the wall directly in front of you. Light is everywhere. You now understand at a far deeper level why it is said that the Holy of Holies is the one place where the presence of God rested. Even if it was only His “footstool” this presence is life altering.
THE SMALLER ROOM
As your eyes are adjusting to the light, you can see the room is so much smaller than any room you have been in so far. It is exactly half the size of the room you just came from (ten cubits by ten cubits or about fifteen feet by fifteen feet). In the middle of the room stands what seems to be the only piece of furniture in here, but it is actually two pieces - the Ark of the Covenant or Testimony and the Mercy Seat. Everything in this room is covered with gold and the Ark of the Covenant and the Mercy seat are no exception. The Brass of the Outercourt will not work in here.
HISTORY
This is the Room where God talked with Moses and gave Him divine instructions for the Hebrew Children. Only the Priest could enter here and that was just once a year - but here you are and you are alive, all because of the blood of the lamb covers you. Therefore, you as priest, as well as a prophet, and a King, can enter here. He has opened the Veil for you. He longs to commune with you. He wants to give you divine instructions to pray and communicate to His people.
RECOVERING THE LIGHT OF HIS PRESENCE
Jeremiah predicted that the Children of Israel would lose the Ark and no one would care. God is looking for a people to care again - not for the Ark as a piece of furniture, but for the Light of His presence. In that presence is the fullness of life as it was originally meant to be. The fullness of life that you were created to have.

This is very exciting! I am looking forward to seeing all that God has for those that have been prepared to receive this. The people of God shining forth brightly, overcoming the darkness and advancing the Kingdom.

I have had so many reasons why I was mad at God and I just forgot what they were….

This morning as I was going about my daily routine I experienced Claustrophobia, and the experience was strong!
As I read this post I felt overwhelmed with emotion, because of how much smoke is in the rooms of mystery.
I have spent over a year living in the upper room of my parents home with my husband and children. The Lord specifically placed us here in this hold over, and it has been enduring.( in more ways then one) My parents have mental health issues due to age, along with other related health issues, and both smoke, and every where I go I reek with the Oder.
In a nut shell, I was totally delivered from smoking years back, and now walk in it everyday here, and it does not faze me, however I stink from it.
Feb 2 I found myself at that breaking point of emotionally repeating to the Lord how tired I am of smelling like smoke, now the room has gotten smaller talk about saturating.
I care
The other night I was in the living room of my home which is my prayer room. I was laying prostrate before the Lord and somehow I wound up in a garden. This is not unusual for me—many times as I pray I end up in a garden setting.
I’m laying in this garden in the grass and this light moisture came upon me and starts softly hitting me. I was getting lightly drenched all over. It was like I was laying in the middle of a lawn sprinkler on low setting. It was very soothing…
When I opened my eyes and looked around I was on my prayer mat in the living room. I felt all over to see if I was wet—but I was dry.
I thought of that scripture in Genesis 2:6 about” a mist went up from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.”
Every once in awhile I feel a tingle of that moisture hitting me…..Thank You JESUS!!!
Take us deeper into YOUR PRESENCE…

I am going to pray for you to smell the fragrance of CHRIST–in fact that you will be overwhelmed with the fragrance of CHRIST.
Read: 2 Corinthians 2:12-17 Paul talks about triumphing in CHRIST and diffusing the fragrance of HIS knowledge in every place. To some we will spread CHRIST’s fragrance as a deathly aroma, but to other the aroma will lead to life.
C M, you can overcome that stinky odor and gain a new ministry of spreading CHRIST’S fragrance…Just go before HIM and let HIM guide you into this…It is not that HE will take you out of your situation, but HE can put you above the situation you are in. Hallelujah!!!

Thank you Linda Burns you brought back something that had happened to me, with all the chaos it totally left me!
Sometime back I had smelled a hint of wild roses enter my room one evening before bed, its an awesome fragrance, and these particular wild roses grow on one side of my mothers house. However, when I had this hint of fragrance enter my room, the season in which they bloom was well over.
The Lord was telling me ahead of time, Yes you will rise above smelling like wild roses
He is the Rose of Sharon!

I am simply amazed by the timing my Lord! While reading John Paul’s article
on the light of God’s presence, time stood still…and I said something
so ridicously as this: Who me, couldn’t be, then who? In a still small
voice the Holy Spirit said: Whom shall I send and who will go for us?
And then I said; here I am Lord, send me!
What an honor for the King of Glory to bestow upon us His unmerited
favor and grace!
I stand amazed….
This may be confirmation to JPJ’s part 2 of the Perfect Storm message: people are asking many questions about the warnings. Then I remembered about 30 yrs. ago, I had a dream about a huge storm that was coming to our country. I was looking out my bedroom window where I could see hurricane-force winds and there was a radio in the background. The announcer kept saying, “This is the worst storm in history !!!” Inside of our home, it was calm and peaceful but we went about our business with a soberness. That was the gist of it.
when we are crushed what do we release the rose of sharon or the flesh do we praise Him do we… like Jobs wife….my all in all lives greater is He in me reach out and touch the hem of His garment of light love love love poured in poured out poured in poured out let the river flow the great awakening is here the great awakener is walking in us through us release the Holy Spirit where every you are watch and see the healer touch people around you they may yawn they may sneeze or cough but they will be filled with life now look and see the light move and heal breath in breath out rest in the secret place under the shadow of His wings Shalom
As we are gaining entrance and getting our footing to move deeper into this mystery room—people are not posting on the Coffee Talk Blog. as often as in the previous months.
It is like we have gone from moving as a “group” to moving as an “individual.”
Each of us are experiencing GOD’S laser x-ray vision on a personal basis. What HE deals with me in exposed areas may not be what HE is dealing with you about. Each of us have had unique experiences and training that has led us here. GOD is desiring for each of us to become the person that HE created us to become.
It is amazing that there are no shadows in GOD!!!
I know to go further into the room and move to another level in HIM Ephesians 3:20 must become rhema to me:
“Now to HIM who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we think, according to the power that works “in” us (me.)” I have to grasp GOD’S power in me, myself and I…..
Power comes out from time to time—but I need to become consistent with it…..
My healing and created miracle is already inside me through the blood of JESUS…..I have to wait and trust that in the appointed and fullness of time I”ll get plugged into HIS current…..
I surrender more each day!!!

I like the treatment of ‘Clothed in Light’ - an excellent commentary on the Pre-Fall status of Adam and Eve.
I really like the following comment in ‘Recovering the Light of His Presence’ - penetrating, arresting and very subtle in its full theological, soteriological and pneumatological implications:
“Jeremiah predicted that the Children of Israel would lose the Ark and no one would care”.

The Lord has brought me back to the Ark of the Covenant many times for the last couple of months. The fact that God gave such explicit instructions on the construction of the ark leads me to believe that it was and is very important to Him. God said he would meet them above the Mercy Seat. He even stated that the lamp burning in the outer court of the tabernacle was to burn perpetually for all generations. If God knew then that he was going to send Jesus, then is the physical piece of furniture still important to him? When Jesus died he tore the curtain so that we could walk right in to the Holy of Holies(the Ark of the Covenant)and speak with God himself.
How refreshing to read this and remember that we are in The Light and that Jesus is sooooo much more than a piece of furniture but I’m wondering if that piece of furniture might still have a purpose. Could a piece of furniture in homes serve as a point of Holiness, a place to meet with God?

“In the beginning—LOVE”
This is the weekend to express love to our “sweeties”…
Many in the world are dependent on that little guy with the quiver full of arrows tipped with love to help them out.
Praise GOD that we have been wooed by the MASTER of lovers. HE does not flit about but sends out the strongest of love currents there is. HE expresses love to us so much that HE took the arrow that was supposed to bring us down…”
This weekend may we return to our first love—our Bridegroom–Our Kinsman Redeemer–Ishi–our Beloved, our Shepherd Lover etc. Experience “the time for love”
that HE is desiring to give to you…. Then tell people why you’ve got that smile on your face….

This post has brought tears to my eyes at a time when I am doing spiritual warfare to combat a benign tumour on my face which may result in surgery, a visible scar to my face and potential nerve damage, a skin blemish on one of my toe nails and regular migraines. How interesting that you should mention all three things right at the beginning of your post. God speak to me for your servant is listening!
Only this morning it was my prayer that the Lord would use these things for His glory; that in my pain others could see the light of His presence.
I am claiming for God to restore the presence of His light in me which the enemy is trying so hard to steal. But I know He has no authority whatsoever over me, and that by Christ’s stripes I am already healed, so I am living in that promise right now.
God bless you for this wonderful and encouraging reminder of who we truly are in Christ and what He can achieve in us and through us.

How interesting that in the opening paragraph of this post you should talk about this ailments. I have recently been diagnosed with a benign tumour on my face which may need surgery if it grows. Surgery would leave a visible scar and the risk of nerve damage. I also have blemishes on some of my toe nails and regularly suffer from migraines.
As I get up early every morning to claim what is rightfully mine, I too feel that vulnerability to a power which seeks to over throw God in my life. But as I go into battle against that power my fears are overcome by the knowledge and comforting reminder that through these afflictions God is seeking to restore the presence of His light to me, to make me a light of the world.
Praise the Lord for His grace and the new mercies which pour out into my life with each brand new day.

I was thinking about the torture that JESUS went through.
Because HIS appearance became grotesque–we hid from HIM.
But Hallelujah!!! DADDY GOD did not look at the “outward” appearance of JESUS because HE knew the “heart”
of JESUS.
Sometimes we go through testing times that make us feel exposed–ugly–undesirable–by worldly standards—but during these times GOD is doing a work in our heart.
I will stand with you as you war for your complete healing!!!
Mercedes, remember you are being prepared to become the royal bride of CHRIST. You are a daughter of Sarah so follow her example:
“Do not let your adornment be merely outward–arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel–rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of GOD.” 1 Peter 3:3,4
May that inner “light” from your heart be released so strong that any sickness or human defects not be seen.

Once this light came to me while I was praying in church. It was a brilliant yellow and like pure gold, kept saying halellujah but I guess I had gone an octave above every one else without realising it and when every one stopped I stopped. I want Him to return to me in the yellow light or in person at this time I don’t care how he does it I want a life altering experience with my Lord and Master. I longed for him to visit me again because there is so much work for me to do and so many people to help but I need him in me, upon me, and around me expedite.

Dear John Paul…I am enjoying your writtings so much. Through them I can see where I am in my life. It is the dark night of the soul. You and your books have always been an inspiration to me. You know of my son Michael Bristol from pastor Pat Fiori in west Milford, NJ. Then Michael finished the masters commission there and was lead to come home to NY State to help his Dad and I in the church we pastor. We saw you the last time you ministered at SCAF in Syracuse, NY. We live near that area. For some time I have been stricken will debilitating physical problems. It has stopped me so I am no longer able to travel and minister. Mostly US and South Africa. It has been wild. For two years I have not been able to minister in our church and many times unable to even go to church. John Paul do these kind of things enter into the picture when a person goes through the dark night of the soul? I know I will come out of this. There are so many words given to me from well trusted prophetic voices that this will come to an end and I will carry on. Thank you John Paul for the wealth of revelation you give to those who are hungry. Blessings to you. Diane Bristol
