The Veil II

“Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O LORD my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You” 2Chronicles 6:19

The above prayer, was prayed just outside the veil that you now stand before. So here you stand, here you wait, and here you ponder the wonders of God. You think on the amazing attributes that He has begun to reveal to you. Like the fetus within a woman, the spiritual matter or spiritual substance that you have been absorbing this entire journey is reforming inside you. You are stronger now, but you probably do not know it, and you are more than likely unaware of the new level of  insight you have. In some measure, you are holding you breath, hoping you have not forgotten something - and you have - the Golden Censor.

You see you must carry the smoke and some of the coals from the fire on the Golden Altar into the Holy of Holies. As you know, the five spices burning on the Golden Altar are five types of prayer that you have been praying. But you, the priest, now have to carry those prayers into the next Room of Mystery. That is what the Golden censor was for - to carry the prayers for the people.

Your prayers must become like burning coals within you. When you breathe in, the coals are fanned, when you breathe out the smoke rises to God. By carrying this Censor, you are committing to God that you will not fail to pray, even in the height of the experience of His presence.

Get used to prayer, you will never be able to stop praying and remain in His presence, once you cross the Veil - even the torn Veil. The tearing of the Veil only removed the obstacle, not the conditions. The cost of obedience, at this level of interaction and intimacy is impossible to carry out if He does not give you the Grace to do it. So, once again, you are being asked to do something you are totally incapable of doing, without God’s help. This is the first hint of what the next Dark Night of the Spirit is all about and how you will live once you enter the Holy of Holies.

So take the tongs from the Altar and carefully place the burning coals into the Golden Censor, be careful no coal should fall to the Earth, if it does it cannot be placed back on the Golden Altar nor in the Golden Censor. Thus, by this you are never to forget to pray, especially for others. When you pray for your others, God will act on your behalf (Job 42:10).

Waiting here, holding the smoldering Golden Censor, you are now taking on the fragrance of prayer. The Veil will not lift until you are saturated with the smoke of it. In other words, prayer must become a focal point of your life.

Blessings,

John Paul

Over the years I’ve learned to go on journeys and to let the HOLY SPIRIT guide and direct me when I shop. It has become a game–HE sends me to certain places and I know that I am to find the “specific” item that HE wants me to observe or buy.

I don’t have any hints of what I am looking for—I just have to let HIM guide me to it and I always “know” when I find the “treasure” HE wanted me to find.

Today, HE took me to yard sales and the treasure HE had for me to find in amongst a lot of buried items was a beautiful print of JESUS standing among the people and HIS disciples on the mountain teaching the beatitudes.

It made me almost cry when I found this print.

I look at pictures often and see myself in them. I ask myself—
JESUS where would I have sat on the mountain, if I were able to be there?

As John Paul wrote today about the veil and carrying in the Golden censor—the “Beatitudes” found in Matthew 5 is an example of the incense and smoke of God.

If we can ever truly come to a point where our daily lives 24/7 reflect the actions and teachings from the simple but profound words JESUS taught in this passage of scriptures—we would be carriers, like the High priest. People would smell the aroma and fragrance that was penetrated on us from being hidden and ministering to HIM in the secret place.

When you are around smoke—your clothing and person takes that smell on. People smell it on you—you don’t have to tell them you’ve been in some smoke.

In this day and age people are so involved with “networking” people. To get to the next level or to take ground—they will step on you and leave you wounded—as they take their ground.
JESUS did not “network” people. HE showed us by example, such as these golden words found in the Beatitudes:
“Blessed are the poor in spirit……” That is a call to life and prayer to allow our lives to reflect this way of Kingdom life to our world and generation. Hallelujah!!!

Read Matthew5-7 and picture yourself getting these precious words from JESUS to you.

    Love to y’all,
    Linda :)

Dear John Paul, please, what does the scripture copied below mean against the backdrop of today’s post, in particular - how do we get it right?
    Leviticus 10:1-3 KJV
1 And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.
2 And there went out fire from the LORD, and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.
3 Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.
    (Copied from ESword KJV)

    Phil,

I’m not John Paul but that verse stands out to me with this specific word of wisdom: “The Sons of Aaron offered up pride instead of prayer”

Pride is a strange fire that ends in destruction.

    Hello everybody,
What the Lord has shown us little people living out in the woods is simple. Pray for divine appointments to perform simple acts of kindness. It does not have to necessarily be a material gift. Sometimes it is just holding a person’s hand or giving them your time and attention. It is time to press in. Remember Jesus on the cross. You do not know who he may be hiding in when you encounter the poor, the outcast, and the prisoners. He is bringing his kingdom here on earth, but it is through us becoming willing to die daily that we will see it. It is time to rally together and really set our face like a flint. The flame is lit. Fan the flames! Blessings, Holly

I pray constantly tears in my eyes now sometimes i think my prayers are not heard, for i long for the church to be united in love. Yet at the same time i have life, beyound what i could ever imagine, though at times its so painful but i thank Him always for He has given me new life and such Love which i would never have known. i spend hours just talking to God or i write to him , i am not of much understanding but He is ok with that i have learned to go to Him in all situations in prayer which to me is communication. it really does become a way of life to interceed for others and to stand in the gap where we will be open and transparent, i know that what He has done for me is totally out of this world. i still cant get my head around what happened , but i thank him , praise him and pray without ceasing, its life , i know something will happen soon , i am praying for a breakthrough and at times it feels like my life is at a standstill, but onward i press telling Him exactly how i feel , for i know how heavy and hard it can be at times, i want His name to be glorified and exalted for people to be set free and praise His wonderful name in the good times as well as the bad times because it really does become a way of life especially when you see so much you can only but pray and cry out to Him to forgive us and have mercy upon us for the way we act and behave towards one another , how you want others to be free for you to was in bondage to this world and her ways, but then a miracle happened how important is communication to God , for a daughter to communicate to her father whom she loves and whom He loves her , wow……press in…. hold on….. He is there always !

The Jews’ return from captivity to Jerusalem with joy and singing is a type of Rapture. The captivity is a process for the maturation of the crops, mankind sown in tears but reap in joy at the harvest. Ps 126

Heaven, Jerusalem above, is our true home. Noteworthy in this context is the prayer Daniel prayed when he knew the 70 years of desolation were to be accomplished, the attitude of the Jews preceding the return from captivity is an example of the true church who is awaiting a return home. Dan 9

With this knowledge in hand, I hope to arm you with the right mind to engage the time frame we are living in, so that your prayers are formulated from the word of God to approach the King.

Noteworthy is one of the covenants, the Mosiac covenant in Deut 28, which brought a curse on Israel for her disobedience. The church today has become one of the least in society because she too has failed to honor Deut 28. Like the vineyard Israel, she is trampled to the ground.

    Holly,
You have been on my heart. How are you going to stay warm this winter? Will you be in a tent surrounded with snow and ice? Do we all need to pray that you will be supernaturally kept warm by angels wings covering you?
Do you know how long you are to stay outdoors?

    Michael,
It is a joy do dance for His pleasure isn’t it!?!

    John Paul,
“Tex” your boots are made for walkin’—May you walk all over the enemy this weekend and take ground for His Kingdom!!!

God bless y’all and enjoy your day!!!
    Linda :)

PS> Have you guys ever copied anything off this blog?

Hmmm, I found something in the Mishnah (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mishnah) while I was working on the historical-cultural background for another passage of Scripture. I thought it interesting in light of prayer and the Most Holy Place.

Mishnah, Berakoth 4.5-6 “If he was riding on an ass, he should dismount [to pray]. But if he cannot dismount, he should turn his face [toward the east]. And if he cannot turn his face, he should direct his heart toward the Chamber of the Holy of Holies. 6. If he was travelling in a ship or on a raft, he should direct his heart towards the Chamber of the Holy of Holies.”

Though these were rules which they created the thought behind turning towards the Holy of Holies is interesting. They could have turned their hearts toward the temple in general or towards the heavens but they did not. Their understanding was to turn to the place where God dwelt among them.

I am, by the way, so greatly encouraged by Richard Foster’s book “Prayer.” His chapter on the prayer of the forsaken is like life to me…to know what I have been experiencing is normal is incalculably one of the most burden releasing things I’ve heard in numerous years. It has relieved a weighty and difficult burden in my heart. Anyone struggling with God’s ways in suffering and pain or going through a dark night would do well to read this single chapter. I wished I had this a long time ago. I’m sure the rest of the book is great but I’m not very far along.

Tonight in intercessors my pastor said we were having an anointing service.

He felt the Holy Spirit’s direction to stir up the gifts inside us and if there was a specific anointing we wanted–we were to come up and ask for it.

I went up and asked that my lips and mouth be anointed for His use. My pastor rubbed anointing oil on my lips. Hallelujah!!! That is something I have always felt I was lacking in. May God release me into this new anointing.

I just had to share this with y’all.
    Love, Linda :)

  16. Holly November 24th, 2009 11:46 am

    Hi Linda,
Thank you for your concern for us. It is difficult to describe our lives. In the flesh I could complain about stuff but the indescribable provision of the Lord has been completely miraculous. As the Israelites were provided for supernaturally in the wilderness, so are we in other ways. We don’t believe that we will have to endure the winter outdoors but the fact that many of God’s children will breaks my heart. The Lord has allowed me to walk very close to his suffering children in this country and I could only survive this because of grace and clinging to Jesus at the foot of his cross. I am so ready to enter into a new season and to see others set free. One of my favorite verses is ” I look unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord who made heaven and earth.” There is no human power but him alone. Thank you for holding me together with your faith and words of encouragement on this blog. I hope there will be a time when we can gather and share the memories of all that has happened here. Blessings, Holly
