The Four Golden Pillars of Deity

My frame was not hidden from You,

When I was made in secret,

And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.

And in Your book they all were written,

The days fashioned for me,

When as yet there were none of them.

Psalms 139:15-16

Remember, you are standing one step, or about three feet from the Veil to the next Room of Mystery. Just on this side of the Veil, side by side, nearly three feet apart and about twelve inches in front of you are four Golden Pillars. You have to walk past those Pillars in order to enter the next Room. To walk past them is to acknowledge that you understand them and in your understanding you leave them behind you. In fact this is true of every aspect of each piece of furniture, cloth, skin, post or pillar that you have encountered or will encounter. When you leave it behind, you are saying, “I understand” and I will apply this to my life. That is why I am taking some time so help you learn about these Pillars - inherent in each Pillar is a greater understanding of the ways of God.

GOD’S ETERNALITY

There are four central points of God’s Eternal Nature that compliment the Four Pillars of Deity that I must mention at this juncture. God alone is eternal, and uncreated. If He was created then someone or something that created Him would have preceded Him. Then, that someone or something would be greater than God in every way.  It is impossible to create something greater than the one who created it. Thus if God were Created, then there would be a higher God than He. There is one creator who created all things, visible and invisible; things above the Earth, on the Earth, and beneath the Earth.

Angels are everlasting not they are not Eternal - they were created and will live forever. We humans are not eternal, but we do receive everlasting life at Salvation. Everlasting is not the same as Eternal. Eternal means has always existed, exists, and always exists. Everlasting means you will exist forever, from this point forward.

Second, God exists outside of everything, including time. If anything is outside of God then it is greater than Him and He is bound or has boundaries. That, in effect, would take away His omnipresence, because by definition there would be someplace that He is not - where? - on the other side of the boundary. We know from Scripture that all things exist within Him, but all things are not God. Self evident is the fact that from Him all that exists was then created.

Three, if all that exists, exists in God, and nothing is outside of Him, then all time exists within Him as well. Time is a created substance that came into being on the fourth day with the creation of the Sun, Moon, and stars. Prior to that moment there was no time. God has never needed it. Thus all time, simultaneously exists within Him.

Four, if all exists within Him, then He exists outside of creation and inside His creation at the same moment. Remember. there is no place that He is not present. Thus He can be outside of you and within you simultaneously. Yes, there are varying measures of His presence. Just like God can be more intensely present in one church than another, He can be more densely present in one person than another. He can also increase the measure or density of His presence within you, but you will have to ask Him to do that. God will not violate your will, therefore the increase is only accomplished by the infilling of His very Spirit. Again, you will have to ask for this infilling.

I will elaborate more on these Central Points of eternality later, but for now these four points will greatly aid you in understanding the Four Pillars of Deity.

FOUR GOLDEN PILLARS

In the last post I wrote of the first Golden Pillar of Deity, which is Immutability. The reliability and viability of the other three Pillars hinge on Immutability being true. If God is not unchanging, then perhaps He was Omnipotent once upon a time. This leaves the question, If His power shifts or changes, what if He is no longer that powerful?

If God is not Immutable or unchanging then He could have lost some of His knowledge and is no longer Omniscient and may not know what is happening to me. If God is not immutable and has changed, then He may not be present with me right now, or dwell inside me as He said He would. The fact is this, if there are no immutable absolutes in God, then all our faith is in vain.

You see Immutability is very important to our faith - the unshakable knowing that God is the only perfect constant in this universe and beyond is vital to faith. The Truth is that He never has changed and never will change. He wants you to know this.

IMPORTANCE OF THE  FIRST PILLAR

Immutability alone gives us great hope and faith for things to get better when we call on Him. His name, every facet of His name, is always there for you. Nothing about God has ever increased nor decreased. Take a moment and pause to think of what it would be like if the capabilities of God were always changing. What if He is like a weight lifter? When He lifts weights He is stronger, but if He lays of the weights for a month or a year His strength is greatly diminished. How would that affect your relationship with Him or your confidence that He could help you? What if God … . If God is not unchanging then you can ask the question with any number of “what if’s.”

You must grasp this reality - Immutability is very, very important to creation and the Kingdom!

THE SECOND PILLAR

The second Pillar is Omniscience. Omniscience is God’s all knowing nature. It is more than IQ, it is the very state of His existence. He has never nor will ever think of something He has not thought of before. Neither will He know something He has not known before. “All knowing,” really means He is all knowing. If He has forgotten anything, then He is not Omniscient. If He has ever learned anything, then He is not Omniscient. That is why David could write, “And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. There was never a time when David was not in the mind of God - taken one step further, there has never been a time when you weren’t in the mind of God.

God planned that you would be born and live right now. In addition He planned that you would live right where you live. This is precisely what Acts 17:26 says, God has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, …” If we take this one step further, then God is watching what you are doing, will do, and have done at the same moment. He is then watching your great, great grandchildren as they are doing something because of what you have done … and you won’t even do it until two months from now. This is what God’s definition of, “I AM that I AM” means.

So you see, in God’s Omniscience, you were planned for such a time as this. He designed you, formed you, and allowed circumstances to occur that would shape you into a vey important vessel. You are a vessel that will change the lives of others, and advance His Kingdom in ways that you know nothing about  - yet.

Perhaps this is adding to your knowledge of how to worship and praise this remarkable, supreme, awesome, God that is the only God. I know that grasping this has made prayer so much easier for me.

Blessings,

John Paul

Wow, I’ve got the impression that we going to spend a lot of time in the next room…in a sense, forever?

    God Bless…

Thanks John Paul. What a great post - reinforcing some things for me, but definitely increasing my faith in who God is.

“It is impossible to create something greater than the one who created it.”

I read this over and over and I still don’t think I get it, but this is what came to mind while I was doing that. I remembered a question that they once asked while I was in Sunday School - “Could God create someone greater than Himself?” The answer was yes, but in His wisdom He wouldn’t. I think I now see the error in that. If God could create someone greater than Himself, then there must be something lacking in Him for that possibility to take place. Nonsense!

Strongholds come tumbling down and down and down…

    Lots of questions here,

As myself and friends frequently do we got into the topic of time. One friend is a staunch believer that the days of creation are 24 hour periods of time. When I told him it simply wasn’t logical because time itself wasn’t even created until the 4th day that seemed trippy to him.

Man measures time as a rate of change. Earth spins, changes its relationship between the sun/moon/stars etc.. (This is time)

God doesn’t change I.E. God exists outside of time.

The question is, “what is a day?”

My personal belief is per Hebrew tradition this is a cycle of light out of darkness. “Darkness into Light” “Evening then Morning, the first day”

The moment God does something, creates something, speaks something, “BAM!” new day. The darkness falls due to nothing new. When God does something new it is spiritually a new day and and a very bright light! (out with the old, in with the new)

Does this fit with good theology and sound doctrine?

    Laters,

JPJ -I know that grasping this has made prayer so much easier for me.

The hardest time I face in prayer is when my mind begins to wonder, and I cannot not get a handle on it, know matter how much I try, the mind will not submit, it does not always happen, but it happens, yet “He already knows”, that makes it easy on me.

    Not Sweating It!

My prayer life has taken a giant leap because of what I have learned in this blog. I don’t struggle any more in the silence. I don’t misunderstand it either. Its ok. And while I wait, I think of Him and praise just rolls out of my mouth. I am learning to seek God. I think I finally have this agenda thing right and because I do, I am truly spending time with Him. I can really kick back and just ‘be’ with Him. Prayer is a complex mystery but it is also simply beautiful. This complex/simple thing…I find always, always it is this way with God. There is no end to His depth yet you can always touch Him; even when you don’t feel Him. Blessing John Paul

I don’t have an issue with sexual immorality or uncleaness all these while but God thinks differently, when He said, “You shall not commit adultery.” He meant it not as an absolute alone but a principle to live by. In fact, all of life is related to the 10 commandments. I am not sure if i have a gift, but i don’t need sex. But He sees adulterers everywhere. I don’t know myself so well. Maybe its just something else the King has in mind.

cm - “The hardest time I face in prayer is when my mind begins to wonder, and I cannot not get a handle on it, know matter how much I try, the mind will not submit, it does not always happen, but it happens, yet “He already knows”, that makes it easy on me.”

Dear cm: I am hoping I can be a bit of help to you. On the Color Spectrums dream card, at the bottom where the spirit triangle and the soul triangle are “laid together,” the mind is the part of the soul that comes against our communion with God, a part of our spirit. Just that alone brought some relief to me as I realized that I am not the only one dealing with this.

So this is what I do daily- I tell my body and my soul to submit to my spirit, and my spirit to submit to the Holy Spirit. Doing this will help to align my tri-part being with Heaven. The other thing that I have come to realize is that my soul needs to continually be broken so that my spirit can break past it and touch people around me. Every day I ask God to tear down my strongholds, which reside in my soul. John Paul’s cd series “Preparing For Your Visitation” deals with this topic in a very helpful way.

Be blessed; we are all in this together.

  9. Holly September 29th, 2009 10:29 am

“We are all in this together”
ps. 139 - Before there is a word on my tongue, behold, O, Lord, thou knowest it all.
He knows because He wrote the script. And he wrote “the Book.” This is his moving motion picture show. And we are the “stars”.
Just stand still and watch a sunset and you can see it moving. And we will all have a memory when we get there of all these struggles and perserverance of our faith. And we will join Abraham, Moses, and David and we will all have our stories to tell. Can’t wait!!!!
Thanks JP, Everyone have a good one! Love, Holly

Thank You very much Cameron, I have that dream card also, and it is nice to know, we all in this together.

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our GOD is one! You shall love the LORD your GOD with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” Deut. 6: 4-5

I want to remind y’all that this coming
    Sunday, October 4
is the global day to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the country of Israel.
(You can go to http://www.daytopray.com and read about this day.)

“PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM; MAY THEY PROSPER WHO LOVE YOU. PEACE BE WITHIN YOUR WALLS, PROSPERITY WITHIN YOUR PALACES. FOR THE SAKE OF MY BRETHREN AND COMPANIONS I WILL NOW SAY, ‘PEACE BE WITHIN YOU.’ BECAUSE OF THE HOUSE OF THE LORD OUR GOD I WILL SEEK YOUR GOOD.” Psalm 122:6-9

Remember this is the season for the celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles. Draw near to GOD and HE will draw near to you in a special way. Set time aside to find your own “spiritual booth” and feast on HIM and the word JESUS CHRIST…

We won’t enter into the fullness until HIS beloved Israel is with us…

    A watchman on the wall,
    Linda

I think it is interesting that even Jesus (Who was perfect) had conflicting wills with Father. Even having the mind of Christ doesn’t mean everything works according to your own thoughts.

It means when there is a conflict we say “Not my will, but thy will be done.” Jesus, before he was crucified said “if it be possible let this cup pass from me.”

Who wants to die? Not even Jesus. We just do it anyway because of God’s purpose.

  13. Shirley C September 29th, 2009 8:47 pm

    Dear All:

This has been my 3rd attempt in responding to the blog. There have been some more shake ups in our life recently, for instance coming home to a house on fire after a long days work and then rejoicing in one moment that no lives were lost not even our downstairs neigbors pets for the most part because nobody was home and all because we listened to the voice of the Lord, to stop by our home before going to the next event. It seems that in this case listening prayer has seemed to be a stabilizing factor in directing our steps. If we didn’t listen to the voice of the Lord when we did and continued to the next event instead of stopping by the house, our whole house would have been engulfed in flames. The Lord also provided an opportunity in this situation to console and minister prayer to the family that lived on the first floor because they were deeply affected by the fire, it started in their kitchen directly under our bathroom and was rapidly heading up the walls. This family is temporarily displaced. But the church who owns the building is helping them re-establish themselves. So, please keep them in your prayers. The Lord has been putting it in our hearts to pray with this young single parent family for the longest time, because of things that God had been showing us and God has allowed this situation to happen in order to show them His Goodness. They realized that without God they can do nothing, with God they can go through anything and come out unscathed, because life is more important than material possessions. Its funny how this happened on the weekend of the end of Rosh Shoshanah and just before Yom Kippur. The next day after the fire, my oldest son who is a veteran of the United States Marine, graduated from Business School,a new beginning and a transition for him. Just think if we didn’t listen, all of his graduation regalia would have been destroyed in the fire. So God was good even then. All we got on the 2nd floor were the fumes and the smell of burnt wood. Nevertheless, we couldn’t help but use the rest of the weekend as a time for thanksgiving. While we were still on the prayer momentum, we decided to visit the Metro West Bridge Church on the eve of Yom Kippur. We did the 3rd watch, there was much warfare in the spirit and then I saw a door open in the spirit and there was a lit room on the other side of the door and it seemed to come when the worship songs became deeper and more intimate.

We believe that there is a changing of the guard in the spirit within the Body of Christ and as we abandon the old ways of doing things and trust God for the newer things as a result of ‘out of the box and over the top extravagant worship’, a door is going to open into the next room of mystery that will lead to a new era of genuine “FRATERNAL LOVE” for the brethren inside the heart of each believers in the Body of Christ who has abandoned themselves to a life of prayer and radical worship. Bless you my beautiful friends with more of His Love,

    Love,
    Shirley C.

  16. Linda Burns October 1st, 2009 8:53 pm

“There has never been a time when you weren’t in the mind of God.”

Another scripture that came to me was Jeremiah 1:5,6:
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born I sanctified you, I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

This blows the mind to those of us who are restricted by the limits of time. We struggle to keep on the path that we sense He has called us to–yet in eternity our life is already continuing — before and after our earthly lifespan…Eternity.

One time I awoke in the night and thought I was being electrocuted. I ended up flat on the floor. I struggled to get to my knees and Jesus was standing in front of me. I was so in awe that I could not get my hands any further up than my waist–though I wanted to raise them above my head in praise and worship to Him.
I’ll never forget—-He reached down to my hands at my waist and held them and spoke to me.

That was an “eternal” moment in my life…To this day I
know I was in a different realm (I was in a garden.) and I don’t know if I was in or out of my body as I experienced that. I had to keep this to myself for years.

When we cross over into the next room—there will be all kinds of experiences that can blow us mere humans away. Thank you for letting us get a grasp of the majesty of God and understand His nature in these pillar explanations so we won’t “die” in His presence.
We don’t want to be pulled out because we were not able to walk about in there.

Daddy God, enlarge our capacity to experience more of You.
    Linda

    Hi JP,
Wow! What an adventure this has been. I have seen his glory, experienced signs and wonders, received many new revelations, and seen him come in great authority in the Scriptures. He is simple and plain. He has taken me through the fires of affliction. His grace has been sufficient. Now I am entering into the peace and joy that I have been longing for. His kingdom is here. Its harvesttime! Looking forward to what is in store for those who truly love him. Blessings to all of you who have shared in this journey and hope to continue in fellowship with you all. You have kept my hope alive during some very difficult trials. Faith is rising up within me and I hope in you too. Peace and Joy in his most precious Name. Love, Holly

    Hi Everyone,
Wow! I have to keep saying it. It seemed like all hell broke loose around here this week. The demons are on high alert and so should each one of us. What the Lord may be doing is to confound the wise and revealing himself to babes. Whenever we try and “fig”ure (fig tree- carnal knowledge) we are soo confounded. He wants us to walk in simple childlike trust and not figger! “The Son of Man cometh in an hour that you think not.” or “Think not, the Son of Man Cometh”. Derek Prince prophesied in 1972 that when the walls of intellectualism fall down that Jesus would return. Everything is now bowing the knee to Jesus, even all our carnal knowledge. Thanks to everyone who has written and keeping me going. Love, joy, and peace in the holy ghost. Love, Holly

    Dear John
I ask, with all respect and humility:
    where is this going.
When do we get to leave this world that is not my home.
