Proceeding in the Light

Category: Thoughts

.!.

“Behold, God works all these things,
Twice, in fact, three times with a man,
To bring back his soul from the Pit,
That he may be enlightened with the light of life.”

Job 33:29-30

THE LIGHT OF LIFE

Getting ready to proceed to the Altar of Incense from the Lampstand is no quick matter, as you might guess from the length of time we have been standing before this piece of Tabernacle furniture. Through the experience of the Lampstand, you have learned the importance of taking a Sabbath. During this Sabbath, you have ‘stilled’ yourself and in so doing presented yourself to God for the infilling of Oil from His Spirit. You have also asked God to ignite the oil so that you might be aflame with His Power. Here, before the seven branches, you have been equipped with the initial seed of the seven spiritual attributes of the Spirit of God.

Looking into the flame, your eyes have been prepared to see spiritual matters in such a way so that, as you mature, nothing will be hidden from you. The cracks from past pains, hurts, and deceptions, have all been discovered and are nearly rubbed out. Your vessel is sealed - the oil of the Spirit will not leak out.

THE COORDINATED WORK OF THE GODHEAD
All this has been added to you and more will come. This deep spiritual life is the work of the Godhead in you. You will leave the Lampstand with a new authority and that authority only comes from the Heavenly Father. You will walk in increasing power, and that power comes from the Holy Spirit of God and it is convicting, creative, as well as restorative in nature – all in perfect balance with God’s will, plan, and purpose. Just as Jesus did, you will have to take the light and the power to the person or the location where it is to be implemented.

TRAVEL GUIDES
As you go, the light within you will now reveal what you need to see. The oil, if kept lit, will empower you for anything you need to do. The Bread will heal you of anything that tries to stop God’s purposes in you. The water has washed you so there is no stain of condemnation by others, and the Blood has covered your sin and cleansed you from all unrighteousness. The glimmer of the model of Jesus - the Eternal, life light, sent from the Father – will continue to grow within you. Yes, He has transformed you, but still the light will and must continue to grow.

BECOMING INCENSE
You are almost ready to walk into an entirely different atmosphere where you will present yourself to the Father. This next step, the Altar of Incense, will require more self-awareness and discipline than all the other pieces of furniture you have encountered to date. It is not that God will make it hard on you – its that without knowing it, you will make it hard on you. Yet, that is part of the process of transitioning from darkness to light – you must lose sight of yourself.

Blessings,
John Paul

In the last 4 years I have been walking through the tabernacle. Before I came upon your blog for the first time last month, and read about standing in front of the Lampstand, I was given the distinct impression by the Holy Spirit that this was where I was and needed to stay, in stillness and in peaceful yet expectant waiting for His infilling.

Thank you ..thank you…and thank you again that I’m not alone in this incredible, awe-inpsiring and sometimes scary adventure. You’re taken it before I began - and others before you.

If you made it, I will too!
If you’ve received your promises, so will I!
If you’ve been filled, so will I!

    with joyful gratitude

And yet the bread…was the bread of adversity.
And the water..it was the water of affliction.
He makes everything beautiful in its time.
The Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all those who wait for Him.

Thank you for your words, John Paul.
    They are light and life.
I see the reflection of our precious Lord in them.

    Less of me, God.

    John Paul,

This conjures up, offering ourselves daily as a living sacrifice. It seems that we are like an onion, and there are still more layers of us that need to be giving up.

Help us Father get to the place that you created us for.

    Oyinda :-)

Yes, I would love to lose sight of myself and all that I would see would be him. Just to be so deep in his presence that I would become one with him, for his will and purpose.

    Blessings

You are almost ready to walk into an entirely different atmosphere where you will present yourself to the Father.

Wow. The tabernacle up to this point equips us with so much inheritance in Christ.

Yet somehow gaining inheritance doesn’t register in me as much as a love relationship with God. I know I have been transformed along the way some ages ago, in fact now when I will seek gifts, i merely do so to present myself with the Beautiful Accessories to the Beloved’s eye and for the good of humanity. His heart is ravished by the link of a necklace.

I was reading “Heaven Awaits The Bride” by Anna Rountree one afternoon, she wrote “The greatest need is still to know the Father.”

I am looking forward to becoming incense for the Father. He is lovingly kind, tender hearted, long suffering, patient, meek, compassionate and has righteous wrath with us. He loves to see His children grow up. But like any parent, His heart is broken when we are at strife and disunited with the family.

His heart is broken by His children like any earthly parent. The church is very ignorant about the Father. Yet isn’t it so true, all children don’t want to break their own parents’ heart. I have read about the grief of parents when teenagers go astray, our Father is the same.

How pleased would He be if His household always loves each other. He sees the Son.

But now it is to the Father we present ourselves, it takes a greater walk out of the darkness towards the Light, more self-awareness and discipline. The Father dwells in holiness, it would take a price to present myself to Him. All my members to be presented to Him. Wow. I long to have a relationship with the Father.

    Hi John Paul,

Thank you as ever for your insights.

I am intrigued to find out what you mean by “without knowing it, you will make it hard on you” and “you must lose sight of yourself”. I normally recognise myself in a lot of what you describe, but on this particular occasion, I do not follow. Perhaps I am not in the place where I think I am.

I look forward to your next post.

    Blessings to you,

    John Paul:

I hope that you and your family, friends and ministry had a very Blessed Resurrection Day filled with the Glory of God!
I have one thing to say about us making it hard for ourselves to experience more of God, as we approach the altar of incense in the transition process from darkness to light….”I call this knowingly or unknowingly”. Because of our brokeness as human beings it is possible for us not to have full knowledge of how we can prevent ourselves from coming closer to God at the altar of incense on our own merit. I believe here is where we need to place our complete trust upon the Holy Spirit to show us and to guide us in this next step. We also need to ask the Lord for the grace of discipline and focus. Lord, in this next phase, I pray for the grace of discipline and focus as we place our complete trust in you as we encounter the next piece of furniture at the altar of incense for all who encounter and participate in this blog, I pray all of this in Jesus Holy Name, the name above every name!

    Blessings,

    Bonjour John !

I doubt you will remember me. We met briefly in 1997 in Southampton at a Graham Cooke conference. You offended me,and later I wrote to you from Bordeaux, where I still live, and you replied and appologised.
I forgave you and respect you for it.
All these years later I am no longer homeless, although I continue to suffer and have little strength. It is evident to me how God is working in my life in certain ways and extremely difficult to understand in others. The pain is often excruciating and the devil is extremely clever at exploiting my wounds. My sins cause me incredible concern and God’s silence is painful. In the midst of my sins I call out to him but recieve no answer, although I can see how He is acting on my behalf in other ways and is taking good care of me.
I believe He has shown me I will work in wine one day. I must be patient.
I bought myself recently a computer and just watched some of your teachings and really feel like you shed light into darkness. I would like for God to communicate with me again. Some time ago I ripped up my dream journal in anger as my pain was so intense, although I can still remember some of the important dreams I had. I have been rejected by many people in ministry, but I am aware that it is just what I have to go through to get to where God has destined me to be.
Still, a little bit of light and encouragement wouldn’t go amiss and I would be grateful for any prayer by yourself or anybody who can find it in their hearts to pray for me or grant me a little encouragement.

May God Bless you,Guide and Protect you,

    Daniel C.Lee

These are true sayings (coffee talk blogs): “This was the true light, which gives light to everyone entering the world. Yochanan/John 1:9 David in Tehillah/Psalm 36:9 says, For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light. Our Lord Yeshua/Jesus said: You are light for the world. Mattityahu/Matthew 5:14 Be dressed for action and have your lamps lit-Luke 12:35… among whom (the world) you shine like stars in the sky Philippians 2 :15 Believers in Jesus the Messiah are to reflect His light, even as He was and is the Light. The
Menorah is a perfect, fitting and divine symbol
    of our Lord.” MENORAH Ministries
Let us continue to adore HIM as HE brings us in HIS Light of LOVE, preparing us for the next phase of our journey. May we continue to fix our eyes on Yeshua, the author and finisher of our faith. Ecc. 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done…” Blessings to all..:-) Lev. 27:32, John 3:21, Lev 16..

Hold on now, just wait a minute, we can’t move on to quickly. I have learned so much… gazing into the flame. It’s as if years of my own effort have been overshadowed by just simply spending time ‘absorbing the light’.

Some important lessons that I have learned:

1.) I can no longer ‘blame shift’

2.) I must take ‘ownership’ of my issues.

3.) I can no longer to allow myself to live with a ‘victim mentality’.

There are many other lessons that I have learned, these were some of the more important ones.

Yes, it’s good to know from my own experience the “the Holy Spirit is convicting, creative and restorative”.

I too, am looking forward to your next post.

Hello, everyone we are enjoying a nice spring day here in sunny New England. The crocuses are definitely up now that i now what they are after all of these years, lol. Well anyway I am writing on behalf of Daniel Lee’s request, from Bourdeaux, France. Bonjour, Daniel, I just want to say to you that no matter what has happened in your past life, the Lord wants me to tell you, that He Loves you with an everlasting love and that He has not forgotten you. He wants you to unite whatever pain and suffering you have and are going through to the cross. That’s what He died for. He died for you and He broke the power of sin so that you and anybody else who chooses to make Jesus Lord of their lives wouldn’t be over taken by their sins and wouldn’t end up in hell because of them. Jesus came to give you life and have it more abundantly. All you need to do is release your pain and anger to Him and ask Him for the gift to forgive yourself for reacting to other peoples rejection. On the cross before Jesus breathe His last breath, He said, “Father forgive them for they do not know what they are doing”, this was when He suffered the ultimate rejection from mankind, whom He loved. So, Father in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I tie and bind the spirits of rejection and unforgiveness and break its power off of Daniels life. I plead the blood of Jesus over Daniel from the top his head to the souls of his feet and everything else in between. Lord I ask that you would reveal yourself to Daniel in special way. Lord show Daniel your Glory so that He may become more like you. Lord, like you blessed my autistic son, Joshua with a manifestation of your right hand from heaven, I ask for a special touch of your right hand upon Daniels life and that He would never be the same again. In Jesus Holy Name, I pray! Amen and Amen. Bless You Daniel, abientot…

When you spoke of “you are almost ready to walk in a different atmosphere.” I think it has begun. Just recently my husband commented about a women in an inappropriate way to me. At first it didn’t bother me, but then I got hurt. He really felt bad and apologized and in the middle of him saying sorry I believe God spoke to me and said, I showed you this because I want you to pray for this women who happens to be one of the dancer’s in my church. It opened up such a new and bigger dimension for me. I began to pray for purity on this women. I feel strong in God knowing he can trust me to intercede for not only this women but the rest of the dancers and recognizing the plan of the enemy but more importantly recognizing my destiny and purpose for being in this church.

Thank you John Paul. I appreciate your insights about the temple. I feel like I experience the reality of the spirit as I read your blog. But I desire to experience this presence on a daily bases, even in my workplace. Thank you once again.

Father God, please be with Daniel right now. Lift him out of the miry clay and set his feet on the solid rock to stand forever. Lift his eyes to you and help him realize in the depths of his heart that you are where his help comes from. The maker of heaven and earth. Father strip him of himself and make room for you in his life. More of you and less of him. Father take his mind and renew it. Give him the discipline to live a life that is pleasing to you. Love on him Father. In your precious son’s name, Jesus. Amen!

  16. Yolanda April 15th, 2009 6:50 pm

    Daniel,
Let the one whom created you heal you and restore you and allow him. He won’t go against your will but I know for sure when he wants to go to that place talk with him about the wound and how it got their and let him take the thorn out of your heart and just cry in his arms like a child would do when a mother takes out the splinter of the finger of a child. There is nothing that has happened to you that God cannot heal I know from experience of going through the healing process. Then be patient with this process and worship him sing and praise him have a real relationship with him and enjoy his presence not his presents. In his presence is healing and joy I know I feel him when I worship and sing to him and praise him and just tell Daddy (God) how much you love him and enjoy your relationship with your Father. He is love and faithful to finish what he has started in your life. Endure. Enjoy. Be Patient. Less of you and more of him.

    Hi John Paul
Since Easter Day I have been praying to walk in a different atmosphere and I have longed to do that and to see how God sees for a long time now. So then today I read the coffee talk blog and wow there is described what I long for. So let it come Lord, even so let it come and thank you John Paul for these Holy Spirit breathed insights and revelations.

I so enjoyed Proceeding in the Light! It was a right-now word for me and where I am in my life. I am continually hearing in my heart and my spirit the words of a consecrated life,a living sacrifice. I keep senseing that God is asking me for EVERYTHING! The good as well as the bad,the joys as well as the deep sorrows of my heart, those things and people that are deepest in my heart, knowing God loves them far greater. Even to give him MY dreams and MY desires as I lay them all down before Him, to trust Him to do what is best for me. For His good and His Glory. I love the statement of The Light will reveal what I need to see and what I need to do, and I am so ready, even in the mist of fear that tries to consume me, in this instant truley the Godhead arises to say you will Only be consumed with the Spirit of the living God leading and directing you into my purpose and plans for your life, and because of my love for you and my children I come to set you free from the torments of all fear that you may rise and take your place in All that I have called you to do and be in Me. –Your Loving Father-

  20. Awake Laodicea! April 20th, 2009 5:15 pm

Thanks for mentioning the sealing of the saints, which has begun. The last day remnant of the Lord must be sealed before meeting God face to face. They must bare His name on their foreheads- This is why the high priest bore an inscription on the golden plate of his priestly crown/miter, “holiness to the Lord”. Ex 28:36. The Lord is now saying to all of mankind,”Be ye holy as I AM Holy.” Let’s all be sealed by applying to our lives Deuteronomy chapter 5:6-22 and chapter 6:4-9,18 and 25. Verse 25 states- and it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these (10)commandments before the Lord our God, as He hath commanded us. Compare this with the sealing in Revelation 7:1-4. See also Rev 12:17. Rev 14:12 describes the remnant of God by stating, “These are they who keep the (10) commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” We must show God that we have an interest in reverencing Him and Tabernacling with Him by memorizing His commandments of love, doing them, promoting them and asking him to write them in our minds and on our hearts. So that He can heal us and we can receive our sight. In doing so we can follow Jesus with perfect precision and go wheresoever He leads as mentioned in Revelation 14. Jesus obeyed every commandment the father gave Him while he walked on the Earth. He and the Father are One. I John 2:1-7, 15-22 shows that one denies God the Father and the Son when we willfully turn a blind eye to ANY of his 10 commandments- including the commandment to rest the 7th day Sabbath and keep it holy. To gain entrance into the secret place to meet face to face with God, one must overcome by the blood of Jesus and come into perfect harmony with God. Jesus is found in the secret place, for He is the Word(Aaron’s Rod that budded= 10 commandments), the Truth (the rock= 10 commandments) and the Bread of Life (the hidden manna in the golden bowl= 10 commandments). These are all found in the secret place of the Tabernacle- under the mercy seat. Get ready to meet your God. Jesus is at the very door!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thus saith the word of the Lord Fear God and give him glory; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship Him (In spirit [rod] and truth [rock]) that made Heaven and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters (see Exodus 20:11-12, this specifically speaks to keeping the seventh day Sabbath Holy). Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication… Come out of her my people!!!!!! That ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues!!!

    Maranatha!
