Looking at The Rooms of Mystery
As I have mentioned the composition of the Sanctuary is critical to you understanding what is about to happen to you, and if I might add without sounding cliché what you are about to go through inside this Sanctuary will literally begin the shaping of “you,” Soul and Spirit. Here in this hidden place your weaknesses will be uncovered and revealed to you – all the while being covered by God, and you will begin the highest level of the transition process – that of transformation.
So let’s take a brief look at the meaning of the four coverings you are about to walk under. We’ll take a look at the broad implications first. All four layers covered both rooms of the Sanctuary. So that not only the Holy Place, where your soul will be addressed is covered by these four layers but, also the Holy of Holies, the place where God will touch your spirit.
THOU SHALT NOT SWEAT IT
One of the surprises of the four layers of coverings was that because of them the interior of the Sanctuary was cooler than the outside air. This allowed the priest to work without sweating. I always thought it strange that the priests were commanded not to sweat. Herein you can now understand that as long as the priest did not over work they would not sweat. This was indicative that the priests were not to worry as well, for worry increases the body temperature and causes perspiration. In other words you are not to “sweat it.” That does not mean you are to neglect the furniture you will encounter in the Rooms of Mystery and their application to your life, but you can spend so much time working for God that you fail to get to know Him.
THE FOUR LAYERS of COVERING
Four is the number of God’s creative works and is the Hebraic number for the fourth letter in the Hebrew alphabet – Dalet. Dalet literally means the low door through which one must bow down to enter. It is indicative of humility. The whole of the Tabernacle is the Bridge between Heaven and Earth and the Sanctuary is the door.
The Covering of Badger Skins (top outside layer )
Because of the height of the walls of the Sanctuary, about the only thing everyone could see from outside the Tabernacle was the Badger skin covering. This represents two things - Humanity and fierceness. Humility in that once you enter the Sanctuary pride will get you killed. Humility is unimpressive to the world and as the Apostle John said, “He came into the world and the world knew Him not.”
The badger is one of the fiercest animals to be found. It is reminiscent of the saying of Jesus about the Kingdom of Heaven, “The violent take it by force.” The Badger is also a loner, this signifies that everyone must individually come to relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
The Covering of Rams’ Skins (second layer, under Badger Skins)
The Ram was the sacrifice for the consecration of the Priests. It was the animal caught in the thicket that God provided to replace Isaac as the sacrifice made by Abraham. This covering of ram skin was to be dyed red and was to portray the application of the blood of Jesus that would cover us and allows us to come boldly before the Father. It is through or under the covering of the blood of Jesus that everything you are about to experience is possible. This is possible because He (Jesus) became obedient unto death on the Cross and if not for that blood none of us would live once we encountered Him. It is the reminder that we are to present our bodies to Him as Living Sacrifices, holy and acceptable unto God and this is our reasonable service. As I have mentioned, obedience will be one of the things you learn in the first room of Mystery.
The Covering of Goats’ Hair (third layer, under the Ram Skin)
The third layer is the first covering that was woven by the hand of women. The reason for this layer of covering of the Sanctuary to be made from goat’s hair is the same reason Elijah wore a mantle of Goat’s hair – it represents the Spirit of Prophecy. Thus in Elijah’s giving that mantle to Elisha, the Spirit of Prophecy was given to him. That Spirit is the very testimony of Jesus and the prophetic nature of all you have and will experience in the Tabernacle. This layer of covering is also called “the tent” in Scripture and is parallel to what was written of Jesus the Son of God: “And the Word was made flesh and dwelt (lit. ‘tented’) among us.” So in entering these rooms you are entering a new presence of closeness with Jesus as well as entering into the initial glimpse of the prophetic purpose for which you were created.
The Four Colored Tapestry of Cherubim (fourth layer, under the Goat Hair)
The bottom layer or fourth layer of covering is the beginning of deeper mysteries. This very ornate Tapestry was visually the most impressive of the four coverings. It was to be woven from fine Linen with four beautiful colors; Blue for the sky, communion and revelation, Purple for Royalty, Scarlet representing authority and the blood of Jesus, and White for purity and sanctification. In its design were woven twenty cherubim with ten on each side facing each other with their wings outstretched over the ceiling of the Sanctuary. These twenty Cherubim, though stationary in the tapestry, are actually moving and circling or orbiting, the Throne Room.
As with the other three covers, this tapestry spans both the Holy Place and the Holy of Holies. This tapestry parallels the atmosphere and covering of what the Apostle Paul called “The Third Heaven.” Because these Cherubim were woven within the tapestry, and in so being, they could be seen both on the outside of the Sanctuary and on the inside. We shall see this is quite stunning once you enter the Rooms of Mystery.

John Paul, I appreciate your help in my walk with God. The Lord had purposefully added details in the scriptures, He makes the scriptures known to the sons of the kingdom. I am gleaning from your knowledge.
I hope that the Lord who stands at the door, doesn’t reply “I never knew you, depart from Me you worker of inquity” and close the door. I realise there are many doors in this life of the Other side. May He says at the door, “Enter into My joy, good & faithful servant”. The tabernacle spiritualised holds a key to entering Heaven. There is a choice, though often we have no inking of its reality, heaven can be ours today. Many humble saints have gain heaven and lose the world. There is periodical choice between them.
Yet we can’t see this reality except dimly through a glass darkly.Yet there are higher realms requiring greater striving to enter into. Indeed the Lord Himself once said, “STRIVE to enter in for many will seek to enter but cannot.”
And thank-you for the skins, I never knew how to see them in the light of Truth. Its application is definitely beneficial to drive the truths deeper into my heart. I appreciate revelational knowledge from the Spirit.

(I am South Asian). I want to thank you for your teaching; it has saved my life…literally. I have extremely suffered for a few years because of a health condition. Through time it caused me to be extremely humbled, and stripped of everything. Yet i kept obeying God and trusting that He would one day change these things. I kept fasting and praying and doing everything ‘right’ to get an answer. Nothing was happening. As time went the physical things were gettting so unbearable (as well that the financial ramifications etc. ) that i said to God that if He does not help me i am through that very next day. Even as i said this i knew that God would come through because He wants me to live. I mentoned to God that i need certain things to give me grace to go on. Answers started coming. One of them was your teachings on the Names of God and on Healing. Other people’s teachings such as Graham Cooke’s and Books by Bosworth (Christ the Healer), Derek Prince (about healing) and John G. Lake’s life story also gave me hope and enablement to press forward. My health condition has not changed yet. In fact events seemed to say that i was not going to make this health battle. But i kept pressing in not just for myself but also for my family. I kept getting the same word through the last many years from many people that didn’t know me. ….that i was going to travel and that my life story was important to set many people free. I kept thinking that it must be just through the internet or through a book….even after i was gone. Just a few days ago another stranger gave me the same word again. I guess it must mean that God is going to make a way for me to survive this health thing. I have gone through so much pruning/changing……so much humbling before God and man….so much taking the Word by faith…..that i am wondering when is this going to end/change. When i can’t see i still have to keep going. Just as your teaching re. storms say….even if i don’t see God in the midst of the wave…keep trusting (which i will do). Knowing God’s character is helping greatly. And other teachings you have on the web truly is helping me persevere until this thing changes. Thanks.
My Doctor says that it will be at least 3 to 4 weeks before they will be able to remove the full body cast that I have on from the freight-train that I got run over by about three weeks ago when my counselor told me that I’ve got un-resolved issues of rejection; that will be right about the end of the month.
Being in a full body cast has given me plenty of time to reflect, meditate and pray (typing is a little difficult). Just the other day I heard the Lord ask me, “when was the last time that you heard a message at Church on Sunday when the Pastor was speaking about sin?” You know, I honestly could not remember. I’m not trying to be facetious here, but I’m from California where it’s not politically correct to talk about sin. Then I remembered that God sent Lou Engle to host The Call in my state several years ago. I like Lou, every time I’ve heard him speak he’s always talking about this Jezebelle Spirit and her home state of California. So, I decided to visit Lou’s web site and I discovered that he’s going to be hosting another “Call” in San Diego on November 1st and I was planning on being in San Diego at that time. If I remember correctly Lou wrote the forward to one of JP’s best books - Unmasking the Jezebelle Spirit. Yes, Lou talks about sin. Please don’t get me wrong I’m not trying to trivialize the issue, actually I was influenced by and introduced to the Jezebelle Spirit when I was only 5 years old. It wasn’t until many years later when I heard Lou Engle speaking on this subject, then reading JP’s book when it first came out in print; that I finally understood the true nature of this principality/power of darkness and how it influenced me at such a young age and the long term affects that it’s had in my life.

Thanks John Paul, for being obedient to share all that God gives you. I can’t tell you how many times I have logged on to your website and find a message (e-mail postings) that is “just for me”. I have been going through a transition for about 2 years now and your insights on this have given me hope on days when I felt completly hopeless (those dark nights of the soul can get pretty dark some days). Moving higher with God is not easy. The enemy fights us every step of the way, but hearing your stories, of how God has brought you through to the end of transitions is very encouraging. Please keep sharing obediently. . .it means more than you may know.

on the night i said yes to Jesus and he came into my heart and i had peace i never had before i read the book of job. 20 years later my redeemer lives for good or for evil the grace of the Father that saved me and keeps me under the shadow of His wings in the secret place of the most High sustains me in the many trials and tribulations and affictions which the Holy Spirit delivers me out of them all. I have been fighting myself as to whether to respond, because it seems that some would rather argue, or be concerned with smaller issues rather than bring spiritual community and growth to what is said.
So against my own soul, and by the pressing of spirit I would like to say that what You have written John Paul in one sentance has the power to shatter multi dimensional darkness and bring home the family of God to him.
the statement was this: “so much time working for God that you fail to get to know Him.”
I see this problem in the lives of most of the church, and I think that those who desire great wisdom would heed that which is written in the section “Don’t sweat it”

I can’t thank you enough for your obedience to the Lord in writing these posts for Him and inspiring all of us to go deeper especially for myself.
Something is happening to my interior life for the better. I am entering into another dimension in the things of the spirit. You must know by now that I am a dreamer. The Lord seems to give me visitations in my dream life. Ok, last week I had a dream vision that I was walking down the street neighborhood in a particular neighborhood in New England, and as I was focusing ahead I heard a voice behind me say I got a gift for you here take it, its yours. At this point I wasn’t sure if I wanted to because the person that wanted to give me a gift was a former special needs bus student of mine named Jordan. In the natural Jordan was very troubled regarding his behavior but the better of the 3 boys that I transported. He wanted to give me a half eatened ripe banana on the brown side. The sweet kind of banana (these are my favorite banana’s). In the natural, I started cutting what I eat in half in order to lose weight and banana’s were one of them. I hesitated to take the banana but something within me said to take it so I did. As soon as I took the other half of the banana skin and all, I took a bite of the banana and turned around to continue on my walking journey. I turned around and had an immediate vision. I saw a vision of you as you are now at a conference and Sid Roth was interviewing you and then as you were speaking your voice began to change to a much older voice. You were about 70 and you were still going strong by the end of the vision. You had alot of wisdom and a high degree of humour. People were laughing for quite sometime and then the vision switched to a car. Somehow I was put in this car or the car came around me and somehow I was in it and don’t know how I got their and there were two other women with me, I couldn’t make their faces out but I new they were women. We all seemed to be driving this car together to a destination, then all of sudden we all got out of the car and we were walking down another street together in another neighborhood. It was a very sunny day, not a cloud in the sky, it was glorious. There were houses on each side and I felt a tremendous amount of peace. And then the most unusual thing happened, the street turned into water, at the same time my the clothes that I was wearing changed into a white linen gown and a viel was being placed on my head as a headress and a staff appeared in my hand. The water was crystal clear, and warm, and dense. It felt like air, that is how light the water was. It wasn’t heavy like earthly water. It came up to our waists. Me and my two companions kept walking down the street and we could only go so far. My two companions were trying to instruct me not to look to the left or the right but focus on what is straight ahead and then we walked a little further and then they informed me that it was time to go. As we went back to the vehicle, there were some reminders of my past and individuals that had a negative impact on my life on the side of the road and then I remembered what my two companions told me. I spotted my car and my clothes had turned back to the earthly suit all except for the white beaded headress. I took that off upon entering the vehicle, and then I put it con the dashboard, started the car and woke up as I was driving away. I am praying for a clearer interpretation because my two companions were instructing me on other things in another language. I know at some point the Lord will be revealing more things to my spirit as time goes on for my future, whatever that will be. Thank-you so much for your continued prayers. Here’s to the Lord strengthening us in the inner man for the things that He has called us to in the days ahead!
