Outside the Rooms of Mystery

Category: Thoughts

SIN AND SLAVERY
For those of you that have been following this blog and the posts I’ve written concerning sin and temptation, perhaps you can see some of my forethought on covering that topic before I covered this topic. The matter of obedience is much weightier than you might want to admit. Adam and Eve had full, unimpeded communion with God until the day they disobeyed. Yet there must be understanding of  this disobedience (Rebellion).

The consequence of disobedience is not so much about disobedience as it is this very important principle: “When you disobey, you make that which tempted you your god.” What do I mean by that? Said another way, when you obey the one who tempts you, you then become a follower of the tempter – even if for that one moment - and in doing so you place God’s purpose subordinate to the tempters plan. Thus, the tempter becomes your god. The Apostle Paul called this condition being a “slave to sin.”

EXPULSION FROM THE ROOMS OF MYSTERY
The eventual outcome of that entrapment is therefore called slavery. After Adam sinned, it took more than 240 years for man to call on the name of God again (Gen 4:26). The slavery of sin can become a harsh taskmaster. You can escape this slavery, but it takes moment-to-moment obedience. In the Rooms of Mystery you will get started in these basics, but it will take a while to perfect obedience to the point where obedience becomes submission.

In the Rooms of Mystery, rebellion/disobedience is cause for expulsion - back to the wilderness. Sadly, this is exactly what the Hebrew spies found out when they came back to give a bad report of why they could not go into the “promised land.” They had become slaves to fear and forty years later they got another chance.

Back to Adam and Eve for a moment. As soon as they sinned, “their eyes were opened” to knowledge and they  “knew” they were naked. This increased knowledge that Satan offered them did not give them increased power, it did not help them return to their original pre-sin form, nor did they become like God. In fact their life was worse, because they now had to live under and became a slave to the ‘god of this world’.

JUSTIFYING REBELLION

Too many times we rebel thinking that we will learn from the experience, grace will cover the experience, or even that we could not help but do it – therefore it is not my fault. There is a price for being a slave to sin, and it is very costly. In addition, each time one repeats a former sin it becomes easier to commit that sin again. At some point you will feel trapped in the sin. Eventually, the sin becomes the master and stopping seems impossible.

Before you take a look into the inside and take the first step in the journey, you would be well served to look at the composition of that which you are about to enter, because you will be dramatically impacted by each and every one. Perhaps now is a good time to resolve to live a righteous life - before you even go in.

We’ll start looking into the Rooms of Mystery in my next post.

Blessings,
John Paul

Thank you for the reality check.

Ok, looking forward to it. I just want to know one thing are the rooms of mystery that you are about to walk us through, prior to the Holy Place or are they the Holy Place. The reason that I am asking this question is because in 2005 one day when I was going about business as usual, the Lord broke into time and I could hear the choirs of heaven singin this song over again within my spirit…It sounded like a 3-fold harmony of voices “Beach Boy” style anyway the song was a simple song welcoming me to the Holy Place, this took place in the Ladies room as I was washing my hands of all places. The lyrics to this song was a one liner, “Welcome To The Holy Place my Love. The choir kept singing this over and over again. Was that the Lord’s way of letting me know that I have entered a new level in my walk with Him? Again I am just curious. I just want to know where I am standing as it pertains to your blog and His will and ways for my life at this time.

    Peace & Blessings!

We really need the genuine and healthy (not legalistic) fear of the Lord to help us as we desire to enter these mystery rooms. It says somewhere in Proverbs, “Do not envy sinners, but be ZEALOUS for the fear of the Lord all the day.”

This genuine fear combined with love of God will help us overcome sin and say no to it. When we ask Him to, He builds in us the desire for righteousness.

It seems like rebellion after knowing precious truths of God is very costly. And transformation to true spirituality is also costly. Why not choose the option where the Author of Life joins us and will grant us grace at each stage of the Transformation.

When the Father asks his child to clean his room it shows maturity to do what he asks, not for fear of punishment but for the Love and Respect of his Father. Respect and Fear walk hand in hand, why would we not want to do what our Awesome Daddy tells us.

    Shirley C. Writes:

I believe that the reason Adam and Eve strayed away from the obedience of God (aka disobedience) once they found out they were naked because their eyes were opened was that selfishness entered into their hearts and it became all about their needs instead of what God wanted. They moved away from an unconditional kind of love “agape love” and the reception of total acceptance and belonging to a more self centered love or lower kind of love. They both fell in their minds and then in their hearts. They fell to a much lesser kind of love, but enough to establish mankind here upon the earth. Enough to find comfort in one another because of the empty void that was left within their hearts when they left the garden. They both began a journey into a far off distant land. Not sure of where they were going but with a promise that Eve’s seed was going to be the seed that will bruise the serpeants head which we now know is Jesus.

I have this feeling deep in my “soul” and through the “revelaton within my spirit” that when they were exiled from the garden possibly the rooms of mystery, they were probably confused and wondering what just happened back there as their conscience became seared and darkened. I believe that what they received from God was spiritual amnesia and something within them fell asleep and that the only way to understand where they were and where they need to return was through dreams of the Garden in order to hold the memory of the Garden in their spiritual DNA …

Amazing post. Thank you for re-opening my eyes.

I can’t help but to think about the goodness of the Lord. How good He is to me. When I consider what He brought me out of in the times that I look back in amazement to see how far I’ve come and of course only by the grace of God has any of that been possible.

Why would I want anything less then what the Lord has for me?

I don’t look at it as a bunch of do’s and don’t but rather Kingdom Principles. We reap what we sow and I choose life and blessings.

Doesn’t the Apostle Paul speak on this… he says, we will either be slaves to sin or slaves to righteousness.

    Vincent,

My spirit is aroused concerning your dream, Job’s friend also had a dream. He was wrong. But please hear me. Then if you can, speak your mind. Actually what i share is relevant to John Paul’s blog. There are just some things worth contending for.

The Lord did not build His church on any formulas or human genius…He built it on Himself. “You are the Christ”, then Jesus replied on this rock I will build my church & the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Can people who make up the church be everything else but Christ? Christ is not righteousness or more clearly self righteousness, neither is Christ success formulas or methods, neither is He the majority’s view, neither is He good governmental systems, neither is He about outward dressing, neither is He what we have made church to be…

No wonder why the Lord Jesus stands outside knocking on the door of the Laodicean church. In fact His counsel for us is to inherit the kingdom by buying gold, white garments & eye salve. We think we have built a great church but the Lord Himself is standing outside the church. We may look powerful & wealthy but are poor, blind, miserable, wretched & naked in His eyes.

Where is Christ today? Where is the likeness of a kingdom where He is King presiding over its affairs? Actually many are doing church without Christ, they are going to learn that the powers of the world are nothing fruitful against the devil’s works & only the authority of Christ can destroy the kingdom of the strong ones…and that’s accounted to us as fruit….

I tried as best I could to connect with Him. I need to meet Him. It’s ridiculous hearing how people like you and Tom Zawaki, and Jim and Recie, and a hundreds of you get to experience Him on a personal lvl. I after 24 year of life have only sensed him. I watch as people find Him after 20 years of sin- bam!- land into a personal relationship where the HEAR Him!

I’m so tired of hearing about Him. I Freakin just need Him.

John Paul Jackson I am so tired of hearing! I need Him to reveal Himself not just to me but to this nation. If He doesn’t I will die <—- not just being dramatic I will end this …

    Well said Kyle….

In my heart I want to be obedient to God. I do have understanding about obedience because I have learned what happens when I am obedient. And I can say that it is always better to obey.
I had an experience one time and God spoke very clearly to me and there was something that he told me to do.
I will admit that I struggled with it because what he told me to do was something that was not easy for me to do. I had so many excuses why I could not. And I questioned why he would ask me to do something I had a hard time doing. A guest speaker came to the church that I was attending at that time and he was highly prophetic. He had this prophetic word for me. He said that God was calling me to obedience and I was going to turned upside down and all around and then I would be sent down a new pathway. Anyway, I am not going to share the entire word because it is too much. But, I can tell you that I was turned upside down and all around. It was not a pleasant experience. After several months of going through very hard times and being in the wilderness I began to feel the presence of God again. And then I heard God speak again and He said you didn’t do what I asked you to do. I realized that it is not a light thing to disobey. What I didn’t realize is that when I chose to obey, he was going to enable me to do what he wanted me to. This was a lesson that I will never forget. So, if God speaks very clearly to me to do something, now I will understand. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Obedience releases blessing.

    Many Blessings

John Paul, Thank you for this word. Each night before I pray I ask God to forgive me of any sin I have done that day, then I pray. Obedience is something you have to work at each and everyday. It is hard at first but it does get easyer.
I am proud of myself of aday of Obedience walking with the Lord.
It is a pat on the head from my Father.
I feel: If I pray before my Father and ask him for something I need to come clean of my sins then ask. Just like a child.
    Yes, Obedience will release blessings.
    God Bless

this is such a weighty message, but it’s so important. and there’s so many of our brothers and sisters that don’t fully comprehend the consequences of sin! (i don’t think i even fully comprehend it either). when i read this, i get a bit disheartened because the only way to be blameless… is pretty much complete humility, which hurts a lot, and it takes so much courage and strength to admit our sins. but then i remember that my Jesus humiliated Himself in a way that far exceeds any humiliation that i could ever go through. thank you so much for posting these messages, its teaching me so much about the wonderful mystery of God.

    much love and blessings

Dark tells of the magnificance of light,
Good gives us a scent of bad.
The bitterness of salt hints at the sweetness of sugar,
Christ reveals to us the Anti-christ.
The rose and the fire are indeed one.
Many will listen few will understand.

You will laugh for joy in the ultimate reality of God’s, Christ Jesus’ singularity he said I AM WHO I AM. This is a huge pill of revelation to swallow only Jesus can help you digest this, but all will see for it is already done. He is the beginning and the end, the tree of life on both sides of the river, the Lion and The Lamb, rejoice when the bride rejoices and rejoce when the bride mourns, for what is to be is truly already done step out space and time and into him who is I AM out of yourself and into him who dwells within you. sorry I had to write this.

We will start see the enviroment react to the son’s not the son’s react to the enviroment, oh I can already smell it.

Wow John Paul you are so on in about this slavery of sin!! I co host a Christian radio show and we have been talking about living righteously for two weeks now…I never understood until this year how much sin truly does enslave us. Thank you so much for expounding on that poinht by giving the illustration of “making the sin our god” it really ministered to me as my Spirit beared witness to the Holy truth of what you we’re saying…It’s so important for us to love Holy lives in these last days. The age of grace is soon coming to a close and we have to be ready to live righteously as we await Christ soon coming return. THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO TO GIVE US INSIGHT!!! You are right in sink with the body of Christ, we’re following right beind you. Keep it coming ;)

I’ve heard you say, John Paul, that submission is better than obedience. I’ve also heard you say that we must be ruled by our spirit, not by our soul. As I’ve pondered these statements, I still wonder if I’ll know how or when I’ve crossed over to submission.

So… How do we move from obedience to submission? Is it purely repetition of obedient actions (mindful choices) mingled with an abandonment to love (soul-felt humility)? This is the transition I’m longing for. How do I get there?

Thank you so much for writing about this topic. I can’t begin to explain how much my thinking has been impacted. Bless you.

Zonk! It’s not about “doing” anything…it’s about being changed. I can do nothing to expedite that…so getting the obedience and surrender aspects right, and losing my life in that sense, I will find it in Christ. All the other running around stuff is the false body, even exploring the heavens part of that false body is sin, even christians and especially “prophetic” people do that which is a false way, but the true body has new heavens not old ones. “Oneness” is not external unity of the old man of sin (many people joined in their two parts, earth and old fallen heavens) but new heavens and new earth in me…and you. Entirely new heavens. That’s what’s in the heavenly Tabernacle which we are called to move along in.

  21. Kathleen January 11th, 2011 6:45 am

Thank you John Paul. I’ve been a Christian for 19 years and have never heard the hidden truths of the tabernacle as applied to the revelation of the New Testament and our walk with Christ. My friend has been following you for 2 1/2 years now, studying tabernacles with you, and started a ministry related to the power of the tabernacle. I’m so glad I finally looked you up. I hope you keep the blog up for a while. It’s January 2011 now, but your teaching is much needed for the whole body of believers.

  22. Linda Burns January 12th, 2011 1:36 pm

    Kathleen,

Welcome to the gang…I look forward to reading what you have to say.

I don’t know how much encouragement our fearless leader needs to come out of hibernation, but like everyone else–I hope it will be soon.

I hope we did not “wound” you when all of us bragged on the little bit wrote about the centurion…maybe someone else wrote that small part–or you did…but we like all, let me repeat, all your writings and the appreciate the amount of time you have sacrificed for us. We look for the whole picture. That bit about the centurion was a “new approach” and that is why we bragged on it.

Daddy God, Break the writer’s block in John Paul Jackson. You have downloaded many important words for him to express here , in books, in messages for Your people. Help him get past whatever is holding him back and let him communicate with us and let the words tumble out again.

I changed to the new facebook page and added Coffee Talk blog in my interests or activities section… :)

John Paul, is the Spirit saying anything for all of us??? We’re all going to pester you until you speak a few words to us.

    Love y’all,
    Linda :)
