The Law and Absolutes - Part II
Nothing is wrong with seeing God’s laws as absolutes, but it is the application of those absolutes that give life. The letter of the law still kills. Some of you, like Antonio, One of Those, and Renae caught the importance of application. Absolutes without application are held only in the head and will be applied through intellect, passion, and stubbornness or the soul. It is the application of absolutes that moves them to our heart and it is only the One, True, Pure, Holy Spirit that gives that application. To sum this thought up, True, Pure, Spirituality is deepened by the application of God’s absolutes. Thus the reason for covering this topic under the theme of Spirituality.
THE APPLICATION OF ABSOLUTES
This is why the Psalmist wrote, “I delight to do Your will, O my God,” and “Your law is within my heart. Open my eyes, that I may see Wondrous things from Your law.” And, “Oh, how I love Your law It is my meditation all the day.” It is the application of God’s law that hands to us the liberty contained in the absolutes of love and life. In a particular application, one might now be able to say, it is not the lobster that is evil; but, the cholesterol it contains that may eventually kill you.
With that thought in mind, we can now focus on the original intent of God’s absolutes. Absolutes are not the “do not’s “ of God, they are the principle’s of abundant life. They keep us in relationship with God and His creation, a creation that was specifically designed by God to aid us in our journey in this life and the life to come. Because we are alive we can fulfill our God created purpose – hard to do if we are dead.
SHADOWS OF MUCH BROADER MATTERS
Absolutes represent more than the law we think they represent. Absolutes are actually a shadow of the real and much broader issues with God. One of God’s absolutes can apply to hundreds of matters not specifically mentioned in the absolute itself. God’s absolutes are there because He loves us and He knows what is best for us and keeps us in harmony with Him and his creation. There are three main principles that God’s laws apply to– revelation of who He is, recognition and protection from evil, and fullness of an abundant life for us.
I like what Renae said, “I don’t let my children play in the highway. It isn’t because I am a mean, overbearing mother - it is because I love them with all my heart. I don’t want them to get hurt.” Yet, I might add, when we tell them to not play in the street they see it as a law that is senseless – they have not made the application of potential danger to the absolute of love.
CONSEQUENCES AND THE RIPPLE EFFECT
The consequences of the violation of absolutes can be short lived or permanent. If I die because I played in the street and was run over; it is rather permanent. If I am dismembered from that violation it is still permanent, though I have my life. If I am injured and fully recover, it is still very painful and the fear of the street can linger for years.
God prefers we do not go through any of that – it is part of His great love for us. So we are beginning to see that it is not just the violation of an absolute that is the problem, it is the ripple effect that continues after the initial consequence. Those ripples continue long after we have forgotten what the violation was. When the consequence appears it is to our advantage that we understand God did not do this to us, the choices we made, perhaps long ago did. He sets before us choices, choices for blessings or evil, but we make the choice.
ABUNDANT LIFE
So we find law without application kills freedom and law with application creates not only freedom but also abundant life. When an absolute resides in our heart. We can now say, “Oh, I get it – God did not want me to get hurt” rather than, “God is so dictatorial, He won’t even let me play in the street.”
Think about it, your life could dramatically change.
Blessings,
John Paul

Good Mornin’:
I have thought about it and lived it to the best of my knowledge, asking for more knowledge. Each taste of wisdom adds and subtracts from what I call life. When “this” is removed a “God thing” moves in, and I am tagged legalistic by most everyone. On my Easter fast I have now gone 27 days without even a small headache, awesome, but tea ain’t as good as coffee on these trips into your lil coffee house. A house of prayer!!!
You are sure to loose some on this John Paul, but others are sure to be added. Would you say “These same ones would surely call God Almighty, Legal”?
“Would you say that Jesus always spoke in a politically correct way”?
Going way back where you said a Spiritual person always walks in with Joy and draws others because of this (rough quote). This is not the Jesus I read in The Word. I have no doubt that He has one awesome smile (I have not seen Him as have others) but I also know that He has “eyes of fire”.
I have worked hard the past days to put together healing scriptures in German text for a women with liver cancer. In a town with less faith than Jesus faced in his hometown, where He could do few miracles, “would you say that He was bubbly as He walked these streets”?
Can you tell that I loved your post? Can you tell that God has given me a love for thse I once hated. My “would you say..’s” were not a slam and I knew you would not answer when I typed them. God has given me a tough revelation and I love Him more the tougher it gets, that is absolute.
An Absolute God and Absolute Love…how our visions of Him have been distorted in the past, and have cost us greatly…
Who would want anything else apart from an Absolute God…what would make Him God without being Absolute?
And if good is greater than evil, love greater than hate (love gives life, hate brings death), and because He is Absolute…how could He be God, unless He were Absolute Love?
Because He really loves us, He imparts nothing less than His nature…Absolute, through Absolute Love, in Absolutes…the Highests’ form!
I beleive it’s all a matter of a perspective formed through really getting to know Him…by observing who He really is!
John Paul, the Spiritual framework that is being built here is magnificent…
God Bless!
I guess my perspective, is why worry about the absolutes? Why worry about laws? Why even worry about the street? If we say we are ’spirit-led’ beleivers then we seek God in all things. If God says walk down this avenue instead of the one your on, do most people switch streets, or do they think its just their mind?
You see, I beleive that the example about the street is a very good one, but being in the street isn’t the danger, the danger is if a car would be coming. Its not that God is dictatorial, but there is still freedom there too. The question is ‘are you where God wants you right now”
Most people who claim to be ’spirit-led’ actually are not. I had a conversation with a charismatic woman about ‘what if God told you to quite your job today? or in the middle of the night told you to drive to some city” then I asked her would she do it. Her response was the common response, well… i am married and your singles, its different now. And i told her then her marriage was more important than God. You see, we act like God doesnt’ know we are married, or have an awesome job or all those things. “He who tries to keep his life will lose it’ one day when I was asking the Lord to direct my life for the day, and asking what to do, he said “quit your job” and i was like WHAT!! i had close to $40,000 IN debt on credit cards, and a bunch of other stuff. and God was telling me to quit my job. I told God i would do it. I just wanted to be sure it was him and that he understood all my bills (love the flesh sometimes right?) and he said ‘quit your job’
so then he tells me a few weeks later ‘God back to school” so on top of no job, now he wanted me to goto a $40,000 a year school. Did things work out? Yes. And God had provision miraculously along the way. I went from 10 credit cards to now I have 3 and I am totally convinced they will all be paid off, while I am still in school currently at that rate for a year. But it wasn’t my choice. I was very anti-institional about school because I had watched so many people be snuffed out spiritually and intellectually within our system. And I eventually told that woman I was talking with that if marriage met denying the voice of the holy spirit, well then I just wouldn’t get married, because God is first and foremost forever, and I guess i will stay single unless God tells me its ok for me,because I don’t want sideline by any earthly thing from my heavenly purpose. is this radical? probably… but then life without God isn’t life at all!!
my reason for sharing this is not to make me look good, because most people think i was acting foolishly, but I was obeying God. My point is this,
if we live by beleiving in absolutes and laws or whatever you want to call it, we can know alot about God but not know him. This is the danger in the conversation. now I understand what you are getting at and its not ‘head’ knowledge, but ‘heart’ knowledge.
I guess my thing is, If you are truly being led by the spirit, he would never lead you out onto the busy street to play to begin with. And a child if they are going to go out on the street, the father or mother would say “don’t go out there, stop!!” and then the child who was OBEDIENT would stop. But that doesn’t mean we don’t even go near the street at a later time, just not during the busy traffic.
I think if we would just stop trying to be american about our life and have everything figured out and live by simple faith of God says it, you do it, then we wouldn’t have anything to worry about, because God is good, he never gives a stone for those seeking bread, and he wouldn’t send a person where they would be ‘harmed’ though some situations may appearing harming at the time, they bring about the purpose of God. And thus “All things work together for good to them that love God and are called according to his purpose”
I also think if we miss the mark sometime in a desire to see God, that Gods miraculous power would still be there. Sure you could be mismembered or killed in that street..but does that mean that God does not have the power to heal or raise from the dead? What about the mistake of the disciple cutting off the ear of the soldier in the garden? Jesus healed the ear. What about the person falling out the window on pentacost? they weren’t permanently hurt. You see, If we desire to live by spirit and pursue God, I dont’ beleive we can make mistakes, God has grace to cover all ‘miss marks’ from the high calling. In fact, Some of the people who have been martyred in the history of the world, would walk with their heads in their hands preaching from their head, completely headless!! That is awesome!! so I don’t beleive we should ever fear evil, or fear what may happen if we end up somewhere we shouldn’t.
So if we had a radical reformation, and all the people who said “I am spirit-led” actually stopped pulling punches and trying to justify when they aren’t, we would see more miracles, more of ‘Gods heaven already reigning’ starting to manifest physically.. but I surmise that most people want a cushioned, prosperous, happy life outside of the spontanteous activity of the holy spirit. (and many people..not necessarily the people on this forum..but many people chase after prosperity in the earth..and fail to see the TRUE spirit-abundance that God has for all beleivers)
JUST Like the psalmist we can meditate on the law of God day and night. But the new ‘law’ is the spirit, which is the fulfillment of the law. So our responsibility is to take all things we say, do, hear, see, etc etc during the day and take it before God all day for him to show us, and discern to us what is him and what isn’t . when people do not take all things to God that is why there is so many things and churches that get off into weird doctrines, or strange delusions, because they don’t test ALL things. Even if the message seems good that we hear on sunday morning, or read in a book, we take it to the spirit and say.. ‘what about that God….its a persons responsibility to speak what they beleive God is saying, it is all those who hear that person speaking, it is their responsibility to test it all. Maybe, then, people would be more the kingdom people of God instead of systematic christians>?
John Paul,
Thank you so much for this post. Over the last couple of months the Lord has really been working on my heart regarding this issue. As this is a new found concept for me I wanted confirmation on what I was hearing from God. So I prayed and specifically asked God to confirm his teaching to me through you John Paul. As I sat here and read your post tears overwhelmed me and once again am reminded we serve a God who hears, loves us, wants to reveal himself to us etc. Thank you John Paul for your willingness to be an open and willing vessel to be used by Christ for I know you have touched many including me several times over. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. To Jesus be the Glory forever and forever. Amen.
That makes alot of sense!!! Due to my lack of understanding and life experience, I went around for years thinking God hated me. (Death to self). Then one day, it dawned on me…..God doesn’t hate me, He is trying to save me. Then I understood that I’m “dead to sin” and when the discipline came, I was anchored in God’s love. And boundaries are so necessary and healthy. Right on, John Paul.
Thank you for these posts! We are reading/thinking/chewing on them up in our ‘neck-of-the-woods’! Thank you again..!

Thanks, John Paul!
As an aside, I’d like to add that years ago, I taught public school in inner city Houston. These children often had so many issues outside of school that it was difficult for them to learn the basics of reading, math, etc. I found that before they could really concentrate on learning, I needed to somehow make them feel loved and safe. After all, could ANY of us think about 2 + 2, if we had all kinds of horrible scenes from home or the streets playing in our minds?
In the same way, if the rest of the world is going to learn to APPLY God’s absolutes, they must first feel safe in His love. It is our job to deliver that love. Not judgment or condemnation, but love (John 3:17).

“It is the application of absolutes that moves them to our heart and it is only the One, True, Pure, Holy Spirit that gives that application.”
I can feel something happening in my brain….literally. I have had many thoughts of what I wanted to share. I put this quote down because I was going to comment on the similarity of this statement and one Paul (Apostle) made about us saying why then are we guilty. Then, all of the suddent it hit me. It is so simple yet so profound. The Spirit gives us the application in the moment. Living in the Spirit is a walk full of choices as to whether or not we want to grieve/quench or yield.
This huge lie is being uncovered in my brain. It could be a ripple from my addictions, but I believe it is definitely generational. I keep repeating patterns of sin in my life because of fear of going my own way. I believe that at a deep level I cling to sin in order to mentally validate my need for grace and mercy. If I overcome these things, will I still be humble or will pride enter in to such a degree that I will abandon Truth. I don’t know if this makes sense….but it is a devil that is trying to kill me with deeply embedded confusion that clouds my ability to hear. There is a hatred of self and human limitations that I cannot understand, but recognize as sin. Recently I heard a teaching where Bob Jones said, “No matter how hard I try, I can not cast out the soul. If it is a demon;I have no problem”. If this is a demon, I want it gone and come out of agreement with it. I think however this blog is leading me to conclusions were I am simply being dominated by my soul. I am going to live in the moment and choose to yield instead of being tempted to make evaulations of who I am based on what I do. Enough said.
It appears that the ripple effect of God’s absolute if not applied to our lives correctly can affect generations within our particular blood line. It seems that if we continue to be careless in our walk with the Lord than we are not authentic in the representation of our humanity before God and Man, especially as ambassadors of Christ.
Shalom!

Here is something I do understand. If you follow the diet in the Bible, you will live a perfectly healthy, long and vibrant life. Dr Jordan Rubin’s book “The Maker’s Diet” was written after he was laying on his deathbed, suffering from Crones disease, pleading to God to show him how to live. Not only did the exact diet in the Bible save his own life, but it saved my husbands also. It cured him of the “incurable”. So, I’ve witnessed the application of the health absolute first hand.
God’s “do nots” are the shadow of God’s “dos” which emanate from who God is. We can play in the shadows or play with the Son.
Even though technology has evolved to the high tech and ultra tech levels that we see today, all of the essential basics have been maintained…
The foundational principles and are still there, but the expression of these have come to forms that have not been seen before…
The 1928 television, works on the same energy as the 2008 LCD (electricity). That electricity flows through wires (conductors), to the circuitry (functionality) that enables the display of images with synchronized sound. These are present in both sets of technology…but looking at one and looking at the other is so different that the former doesn’t even seem to be part of the latter…
Without these essentials, none of these two sets could function…
Our heavenly family has it’s similarities…
All throughout scripture, there are individuals that lived advanced spiritual encounters and lived through ultra spiritual experiences and manifestations, that brought about Gods Kingdom in the earth, nevertheless, they never overlooked Gods laws or absolutes.
One of them was even Gods instrument in the earth, who carried His law into this realm (Moses)…Paul saw things in heaven that he couldn’t speak about in the earth, hundreds of years ago. Peter walked in a dimension that still isn’t common to our everyday living, today…And they never overlooked absolutes, the word was important to them!
A scientist while developing technology, will always acknowledge a principle when he comes across one…What he then does, is work with it to further his work, because if it crossed his line of development, it is probable that it is part of the solution, even if the final result is a bit different…
Absolutes, laws, principles…the Word…God…it all comes down to the same thing, it all adds to the big picture (an infinite picture)…
Just some thoughts…
God Bless…
Love is the fulfillment of the law. Love does its neighbor no wrong. Without those two statements (and others I’m sure) the law kills. But with those two, we see as you pointed out John Paul, that it really is out of love that God gave us the law. The focus of the law is not the do’s and don’t’s which is where we get off the rails, it is love. As those who know Him, then the law is written on our hearts as you have noted, that is, it is internalized, application is made, instead of it being outside of us, written on tablets of stone. Without that “interpretive key” of love, yikes!
Blessings,
Dennis
Out of respect for John Paul’s request to keep these blogs shorter I am posting my response on my blog site for those that choose to venture over and read it. I hope that you do as I do believe you will be blessed!

When taking a philosophy of religion class years ago, I heard this description of God…He is the being of whom nothing greater can be conceived. At that time, I thought that’s it. That is the best description of God I’ve ever heard. Later I learned that description doesn’t do Him justice…He is beyond what we are able to conceive but He allows us to know Him.
What fascinates me most about God (the Father, Son & Holy Spirit) is the fact He has given us Free will. I think the magnitude of that gift sometimes blurs our perception of who we are in relation to who He is. As the giver of the Gift He is the Greater; His ways, His power, His love are greater. He is Supreme. He loves us enough to let us learn who we are-that we have our living and being in Him. I have taken my best shots in the decision and way-making dept. I learned I didn’t have enough insight, far-sight nor future sight to run my life. I cannot do it with success. I bow before Him and try my best to defer to God in my decision making. I don’t always succeed and in fact have failed (some times miserably) but I am convinceed that His ways are higher than my ways.
I say all of this to say, God’s absolutes take a lot of pressure off of me. I can say to God and man, I am doing my best to live my life God’s way and I am depending on Him to work this out. Learning to live in the ‘wait’ is the most difficult part but the decisions are so much easier to make.

I think there is something to be said about learning God’s absolutes. I think it allows us to know God better and grow or develop to new heights. I hypothesize that to simply obey is to be a child. To understand ‘why’ is to be an adult.
Take for instant the natural realm. If mankind did not learn the principles of nature they would not understand planting and harvesting. If mankind did not learn the principles of light, electricity, and electromagnetism we wouldn’t even be communicating. If mankind did not learn the principles of gravity and orbital mechanics we would have never gone to the moon.
Would mankind have survived without planting and harvesting…perhaps. Would mankind have survived without electricity and all the gadgets and gizmos we live with…definitely. Would mankind have survived without going to the moon…most assuredly. However, isn’t life much more rich, fascinating, and interesting with all these things? Isn’t it breathtaking to see pictures from the Hubble Telescope? http://hubblesite.org/ Isn’t it amazing to save lives with medical technology? And, there are a million more “isn’t it amazing” things out there.
We would not be where we are without the curiosity mankind has for the absolutes of the universe. It did not suffice the Wright brothers to jump off a cliff and fall to the ground. They studied the principles of flight and made use of the absolutes they learned. They soared to new heights and paved the way for us to do the same. Along the same lines, I think the more curious and inquisitive we are about God’s absolutes the more we learn and grow. I think there are amazing things out there in the spiritual realm that we can ‘grow’ into as we learn the absolutes of God. We can also soar to new heights.
For instance…”why even worry about the street”…as a child you must obey God to keep safe in order to not get hurt in the street. However, you do not stay out of the street your whole life. You grow up! You learn about the absolutes of the streets. You learn the laws of driving on the street. Your whole world opens up as you grow enough to cross the street. You may even become a high speed race car driver on that street. I personally hypothesize that to simply obey without understanding, learning, and growing in the absolutes of God is to stay stagnant and immature in our relationship.
Learning about His absolutes is I believe learning about Him. The more I know about Him the more exciting life will be. I think it is just the same in the natural world. Look at all the advances in technology and understanding of the universe we’ve had in the last hundred years! How incredible to learn that this dimension or existence God has put us in is far greater in complexity and mysteries than we could ever imagine. How much more so to learn about spiritual absolutes?
Hello John Paul I really enjoyed Renae comment. I have met a few people like Renae in my life even I do not know her personally I can feel the love in her writing. I once visited a church that you could feel the love when you entered the building. I later learned the church had a upheaval and that was the end of the outpouring of love. HUGS TO John Paul
When I first awakened to the power of words and what we speak out and how there is a cause and affect with them (is this an absolute?) I started to go to the extreme of being so concerned about it all that I would double check everything I said and began continually breaking things that were said around me/by me/others. But then I realised that I was actually being bound by the concern of it all and wasnt walking in any kind of freedom. If I stopped and really registered everything happening around me and in me and in others, every cause and affect, and tried to live tightly in every absolute, I became overwhelmed and more bound. So do I ignore all this for the sake of my mental state? No. I am learning to rely on the Holy Spirit to reveal changes in behaviour as needed, as appropriate to my stage of maturity.I believe there is grace for the rest.
With genuine Holy Spirit change our behaviour is moulded and the new man that appears out of it is more like Jesus - and we are more able to live as Jesus lives and do as Jesus does. So I think I have just convinced myself that the key is not knowing the absolutes, but knowing Christ himself as he embodies every true absolute. He is Truth himself.
perfect love casts out all fear He did not give us a spirit of fear but love power and a sound mind thank you Father for directing our steps still broken bread and poured out wine for the Masters use more love more power more of you Lord Shalom
One of Those,
I like your comments about absolutes and the street. If I might plagiarize John Paul (:-))the One, True, Pure Spirit’s goal is not to keep us out of the street, but to keep us safe while we are there. The street can take us places we would otherwise not get to, if we know the absolutes and abide by them. For instance, don’t walk out in front of a truck because an object of that size moving at a rate of speed could destroy you. If as a child you venture out in the street, going against the wishes of your parents and you get a spanking, the pain inflicted in that spanking is designed to keep you away from a far greater and possibly more permanent pain. It is MUCH better to experience that lovingly-given pain. It also trains you on how to walk in life.
I believe all of this gets back to the character of the One, True, Pure Spirit and His motivation of love. Not seeing Him as He IS, we wrongly interpret His absolutes. And we don’t believe Him in what He tells us about them. I must admit I have blamed Him for wrongs done to me, even when He confronts me about my responsibility in those circumstances (my reactions, the choices I then made, etc.). My response has been, well, what else would you expect if XYZ happened? I don’t think He is condemning me for what I did; instead, He wants to free me. But that gets back to seeing Him correctly & His motivation in confronting me. If a doctor confronts a patient & tells them they need to change their diet (for instance) or in 10 years they’ll be dead, that’s done in love, though it might be painful to hear.
Mighty blessings to you John Paul & to all who frequent this blog!
Dennis
In this day and time when God’s people are seeking for truth,We learn by what we see,I in partically have had a longing to see God in greater measure.Forgetting realty that If I would look around he is in greater measure than before.Looking externally at the world around us can be confusing. Because of the God of this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers. To thinking they can rationalized God out of creation.(And be their on GOD) I was sent a email that pretty much sumed it all up for me. here it is-
God’s Dirt
God is sitting in Heaven when a scientist says to Him, “Lord, we don’t need
you anymore. Science has finally figured out a way to create life out of
nothing. In other words, we can now do what you did in the ‘beginning’.”
“Oh, is that so? Tell me…” replies God. **
“Well”, says the scientist, “we can take dirt and form it into the
likeness of you and breathe life into it, thus creating man.”
“Well, that’s interesting. Show Me.”
So the scientist bends down to the earth and starts to mold the soil.
“Oh no, no, no…” interrupts God,
(I love this)
“Get your own dirt!”
In one absolute we are all just dirt! in Gen.3:14
When the Lord said to the serpent(satan)on your belly you shall go and eat dust all days of your life. Well when we allow the enemy a door into our life what does he do? He eats our dust!! It can come in a form of sickness, finances, relationships poor choices.
But, if we allow the holy spirit to led our life then the fruit will be there. If not well then,I guess your life would represent one of Peanuts gang,(pig-pen)
(Before grunge was cool, Pigpen made his debut in the Peanuts comic strip on July 13, 1954 and since then has been the king of “dirt” gags. He walks around in a cloud of dust, sprinkling dirt on all he comes in contact with. Pigpen is happily messy. He doesn’t try to explain it, hide it,or fight it.) Many people look this way in the spiritual. What the LORD is showing me is that he looks on the internal and wants us to look on the eternal ways of him. And by doing that just realizing we are a bunch of dirt bags. And without him we are nothing. That is why he is GOD ALMIGHTY. and we are not.
Well done good and faithful one Will great word had to hear it all of it monies gone needs many and met by the Father of 1000 hills He’s still multipling everything He’s the same we are ever changing into His image Thank you Holy Spirit I surrender again Shalom
Here’s an absolute that Jesus had prayed to the Father while He was walking in the flesh here in the earth during His first coming:
John 17: 20-25: Jesus Prays for Believer’s:
I pray for those who will believe in me through their message, that “ALL OF THEM MAY BE ONE”, Father just as you are in me and I in you.
May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.
I have given them the glory that you have gave to me, “THAT THEY MAY BE ONE AS WE ARE ONE”. I in them and you in me.
May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Father, I want them those that you have given me to be with me where “I AM”, and to see my glory, the glory that you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you
and they know you that you have sent me. I have made you known to them and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.
Jesus,
I want to know what love is, and how you want to move in me so that I may be an effective witness and an ambassador of your heavenly love as well as a witness to your glory being revealed in this generation.
Love Your Daughter,
Shirley C.
God helps us to understand the meaning or reason behind the command, law, absolute.
Why did Jesus touch the man with leprosy? Love.
Compassion moves the heart of God.
Jesus moved in the will of the Father, therefore He must have moved in the law’s intent and purpose when healing those who were declared “Unclean”. He understood the “Why?” behind the law.
(Joh 15:10) If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
(1Jn 5:2-3) By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
(Pro 4:7) Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
(Psa 119:104) Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
God bless
David
I didn’t have time to read all of what others have commented but I’ll be sure to return to read this through. All I can say is that, I had a choice to read this section right after Part 1 but I chose to allow some time to allow some things in the past post to really sink in.
My journey has been for what seems like yrs to somehow allow for my head knowledge to become heart knowledge. I prayed the radical prayer…enlargen my heart Lord so that I can engage with my heart and not my head.” The Lord is answering this prayer of mine and I think it’s going to rock my world!
One thing is for certain, I’m motivated to serve the Lord and to worship Him not because it’s the Christian thing to do but because of this one truth…The Apostle Paul wrote this in Romans Chapter 2:1,2..he refered to the kindness of the Lord. It is the kindness of the Lord that leads to repentance. Because of His great love for me I’ve allowed for Him to bring about change in my life.
Application. Speaking of the three principals of this, The Lord takes us and further unfolds absolutes of His nature and His Deity in His name. The 365 Names of God CD unpacks more absolutes than my little mind can hold and I sit wide eyed at the pronouncement of each one of them! As a mother and grandmother, we have set absolutes with love before our children and have said there are consequences to all your sinful actions. sow the wind … reap the whirlwind. A few times we’ve encountered “the other son’s attitude from the prodigal son story rising up in their excuses. It took long talks of explaining God’s absolutes to them, but love and forgiveness got through. Bottom line I think is this: Love the Lord your God with all you heart, soul and mind and strength and your neighbor as yourself, the absolutes will become so clear in your spirit. A holy fear of the Lord now will abide deep in your spirit and it stirs you to draw nearer to Him
I hope I haven’t veered off the trail of thought here John Paul. God’s divine order always rules. The older I get the more I find out I don’t know and the hungrier for His presence I become.
Press on and press in.
Wonder if we already have every prayer answered – the lesson in this earth would be how not to hinder that kingdom reality in our own lives. If faith is a striving to attain what isn’t yet, then what we do would depend upon what He hasn’t done. We could justify our lackadaisical attitude by saying that He hasn’t given me the tools yet. If that is true then our responsibility for what we already have is the issue.
That is why ‘faith worketh by Love’ … and love already possesses everything.
The people were not cheering the jackass when Jesus rode into town we are just the jackasses bringing Jesus into work, church wherever the Father of lights leds us the pigpen story is perfect trade in the dirty clothes for garments of praise throw off the grave clothes and shout GLORY TO THE LORD OF LOVE ARMIES SHALOM
I type from the hospital this morning. I need to know the absolutes of God on healing. I need them in my heart. I need them for my child.
Or, maybe I just need someone who does know them?
John Paul I heard your testimony on being in heaven and how just a drop of Him could empty all the hospitals in Boston. I’m here…we’re waiting…for someone.

My life is changing dramatically!! I regret not understanding these truths in the beginning of my walk with Christ because there are definitely consequences that I am dealing with as a result of my former way of life. People perish for lack of knowledge! Anyway, one lie after another is coming to the surface in my life. I am trusting that this is the case so that they may be uprooted forever! No matter what comes in life, I trust that I CAN DO ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthens me. However, sometimes I am overcome with the fear that He wants to “hurt me” in some way to make me better or for Kingdom purposes or whatever. Anyway, I am recognizing the source of this is torment and not prophecy. Sometimes I get the two confused. Again, a result of my former way of life?
Jesus healed them all…Hold on to that til someone wiser than me comes along One of Those, I am praying Heaven!!!
I believe the absolute on healing today is….it is finished.
I’d like to respond to “One of Those” who needs prayer and healing for his/her child (comment above).
Dear Father, I don’t know the complete circumstances, but You do. I know that You love us, and that You sometimes allow bad things in our lives so that we will be drawn closer to You. But we do pray for the complete healing of this child. You said in James ch. 5 that the prayers of the righteous are powerful and effective, and so Father, we ask for You to heal this child, so that You can receive the glory.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
Thank you for your prayers and concerns. I want to be sure to clarify that I was not trying to divert the topic or elicit sympathy. I really would like to know God’s absolutes on healing…not just because it is really nice to know but because it is so critical for my child. And, I am concerned that others learn these as well. This is so that we can all be prepared when we meet those who critically need healing.
I know God desires healing but there must be something I’m missing if healing has not yet come. Maybe that something I’m missing are some of God’s absolutes that have not made it to my heart.
So again, sorry if I get anyone spun up and your prayers are always welcomed.

Praying.
Amen! So many things bad things that have happened to me and others I know theat could have very well have been avoided if we had only let God’s Truth (Absolutes) reside in our hearts, and not just in our heads.
